So, I recently bought 8 Death Note nendoroid petits off ebay for $15 total. You'd think they'd be bootlegs right?

Nope, they're totally legit. (I already had the suit Light so I put him there for comparison) Of course there's a catch however...

The poor guys all have missing/broken stands ; v ;
The only part of the stand they came with is unfortunately glued into their backs, so effectively I can't even just buy replacement stands. I tried tweezers but they couldn't get it out.

So i'm asking, are there any alternative ways to display them without stands? Or any way to possibly repair them?

Bonus picture~

I'm sorry but they're GLUED!?! What was the previous owner thinking!!?! Ok, so you might just ant to try chipping away any visible glue, soaking it in warm water, and loosening the stubs, other than that I got nothing.

Can't really add more than has already been said

I do wonder about the previous owner though, while I might frown on it I can see why someone might glue the stands in. What I can't understand is the fact they are all snapped, that's not a one off accident, that's someone deliberately breaking all the stands.

I glued my Sailor Moon gashapon together because they're little brats that don't like to hold. It's insane how often those things fall apart.

Be careful with the water method. I'd suggest the drill method before water... simply because the figures aren't meant to be water proof.

Alternatively, you can also attempt to use a hair dryer, but that's about as safe as the water if you aren't sure what you're doing. Maybe even worse.

You could also just give them time, and play with the broken off pieces while you watch tv or something. Eventually the glue will let go.

Jellygem5 anos atrás#2431115Thanks for the advice! And, I know right xD Who would think that's a good idea to glue it! I'll certainly try your method soon.To be fair, I considered gluing half of mine after I spent three hours trying to get the stupid things to stay on properly. Hahaha!

I'd suggest cutting off whatever remains of the stand that is sticking out of their backs, then going in with a 1/8" drill and cleaning out the rest of the plastic.

Using a hand drill or dremel with low power setting is best, since you don't want to melt the plastic or drill thru the nendo.

First order of business, get some hot water and soak the figure and stand in it. This might weaken the glue. After you have done this, grasp the end of the stand and make very small twisting motions to try and get it free.
If it's impossible to weaken the glue, I recommend slicing off the excess stand pieces and then using a dremel to drill out the hole in the back. You can then use replacement nendo petit stands.

You can use a bit of blue tacky to make them stand. I use it for a bunch of my action figures that don't have stands. It works great. :3
