On the tenth of January, I finally reached the second year of being a member of Tsuki-Board as well as making it to two years of figure collecting as a hobby~ As I did in my previous article for when I reached my 1 year anniversary, I decided to look at how my collection has grown over time up until now! You can check out my previous article here if you're interested in a comparison: blog/12157&...

However, this year also happens to be my first year at University so my collection has been somewhat separated as I have removed some figures and merchandise from my home over to my accommodation at University hence why I posted this at a later date. I also had 6 exams to contend with so I left it even later >< So this article will be a little different in comparison to my first one, and a few figures may be duplicated in both places as I transferred some figures again when I returned to my accommodation~

Now, onto the exciting stuff! Being a student and such means I don't earn a great amount of money since my job is at home (so I only get to work when I return for holidays~) which means I can only really afford one scale figure a month, but even that's becoming a little more like one every 6 weeks ><

My television area is a bit of a mess, but it always has been due to having to cope with only a stool to put it on. I don't have a great amount displayed here since it's not a very practical place for figures to go, unless they're pretty small so I thought I'd put my only Amiibo here which was a gift from a friend~

My little plushie corner fills up this space nicely, though it has been depleted since I moved a couple of them to University. I also have my hama beads stuck to my wall - I got them for free with Game's pre-order exclusive for Harvest Moon: A New Beginning (the design is actually from my favourite game from the Harvest Moon series, HM:DS, so I'm really happy with them!) At the top of my acrylic shelves is my Kiki's Delivery music box which was a new item this year! My parents bought it for me just as a little surprise gift one day, I was overjoyed when they presented it to me ^^ I'll also be taking this back to University so be prepared to see it again in later photographs!

Onto my madly shaped shelves which are the bane of my life~ Displayed on the bottom shelf I have 3 Nendoroid Petits which I love! I was never into the idea of getting Nendoroid Petits since they're so small but I received ITEM #131397 as a gift and after seeing the detail of him, I couldn't resist buying more! I'd love to add the Death Note Petits to my collection but it seems they're so rare I can never actually find them...

My manga collection has also greatly increased since last year (though not by nearly as much as I'd like since figures take my wallet's priority ^^;;) and for this side of my shelves I organised this to be shoujo. To accentuate this change, I added my more bright figures, with ITEM #153810 being the exception, but he just looks too perfect where he is in my opinion~ As a great cat lover I also made a bit of a cat corner with ITEM #158023 and ITEM #5599 which I'm very happy with! As you can probably see, I could really do with some lights on these shelves but I've neglected to get this sorted so far and with not living here for a lot of the time any more I just felt it's a waste of money right now.

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/upload/pictures/2015/01/16/1195165.jpeg

My desk contains my other two Atelier scales; ITEM #98904 was in fact my first ever scale figure. I don't have much here since it's quite low down and not ideal for displaying anything.

Awkward shelves, take two: this side contains the rest of my manga! The most prominent new figures on this side are my Fairy Tail figures~ There are quite a number of negatives about how these figures came out, but being from one of my favourite shounen anime and by my favourite figure company, I couldn't say no even if they're not designed wholly true to the magnificent characters they represent! I hope GSC gets a jiggle on with making ITEM #198423 though, the group doesn't look right without her!

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/upload/pictures/2015/01/16/1195159.jpeg

I also began a new collection of Re-Ment this year which I hope to use for a little photography with my figures in the future~ At the moment I only own Rilakkuma Re-Ment but it'd be nice to add some others in the future.

*queue the Song of Time*
The Legend of Zelda is by far my favourite game series and Ocarina of Time one of my favourite games so this Ocarina is one of my most prized possessions. (I've even considered taking it to University with me but since I can't actually play it I feel like it's a waste of suitacse space, especially since I'm terrified it might get stolen or broken!! *Ahem* I live in the country so being in the city, even on a campus, puts me a bit on edge...)

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/upload/pictures/2015/01/16/1195148.jpeg

I'm very happy to say that my anime and game collection has grown a fair bit since last year! Though again, figures take priority so it hasn't grown as much as I'd like it to...

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/upload/pictures/2015/01/16/1195149.jpeg

My non-manga books tend to go up here but now that I have a kindle which I got for Christmas (thank you parents!) it won't be seeing many new additions. (I'd never buy manga on my kindle though... I see the volumes as a collectible so I'd need a physical copy!) I'm a bit bummed though because I have a truckload of Philosophy books that need a home (Philosophy is my University course and I get to learn Japanese too! \^o^/) but that shelf is simply too small so they're piled up elsewhere.

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/upload/pictures/2015/01/16/1195151.jpeg

Here lies my other games and the beautiful Insane~ I adore this figure but have had to put her really high up due to a past incident; she used to be on the lower shelf with my anime which is quite close to my bed and one night, I still can't remember exactly what I did, but one night I pulled my duvet off my bed to curl up on my chair with it and somehow it caught on the Cannon Lance bringing her down onto my comfy chair T_T It was a horrible moment, I cried for so long but luckily all that broke was the joint that connects the Blade Claw to the handle which is fed through her hand. It meant I had to super-glue the joint into place which is just frustrating since it's now permanent but at least she could be fixed easily enough, I'm thankful for that. Oh, and I live in England so earthquakes aren't an issue.

So that's my bedroom at home, at University I have many more otaku goods!

I'm living in University accommodation for this year and the rooms are incredibly spacious considering! I also get a double bed which is lovely since my one at home is a single. I love starfishing while I sleep in this thing... The four デュラララ!! postcards I own came as a bonus with the collector's edition of season one of the anime on blu-ray and considering it's among my favourites, I just couldn't resist buying it!

My notice board has mostly become a Japanese vocabulary list and a poster display... I really love it like this though and the Great Wave Off Kanagawa really brightens things up! (But Lord did it take a while to get up there, it kept trying to roll back in on itself... Scared me all most half to death during the night when I woke to a scraping sound of it trying to re-roll itself!! *^*) I took my first ever trip to MCM Comic Con this year too thanks to the anime society organising a bus to take us all! My Kingdom Hearts poster, among many other things, was what I bought while I was there. I was so happy to find it and since wall scrolls and posters in general can't really go up in my room at home due to the slanted ceilings, it's great to have some up now!

Behold my desk! I really tried to make this a comfortable work space with a balance of conserving space and displaying my lovely little collection that I brought with me~

I really love these posters too and was so happy to fall upon them while I was at Comic Con! I find myself gazing at them and giving me motivation for while I work too! x3 I do wish I could draw as well as this though...

Unfortunately, I'm unable to display any figures at all on the 3 lower shelves here since the sunlight hits them directly and I'm far too worried about my figures bleaching to allow them here. Link is safe right up at the top though which makes me happy, because I'd have nowhere else to put him otherwise! I do think these shelves look good even if they are a bit sparse since they help to remind me of my collection at home which I now rarely see~ I'm also re-reading Vampire Knight at the moment since I received my limited edition of the last volume in December. It's in fact my all-time favourite manga series. Volume 1 was also the first ever manga I read; I'd taken an interest in the world of manga and anime through the game of Kingdom Hearts (the art style is what sparked it) and my loving parents picked up the volume for me while they were out shopping! I'm ever so grateful since that one manga volume has lead me to such a wonderful hobby~

Thanks for Reading~!

Thank you! Oh really? Haha I bet you're thankful that they always spoke about it! I don't know many people in person who share this hobby which is unfortunate... And the anime society isn't very welcoming to new people so I struggle to make friends there too T_T

I really am xp It got me into this hobby which I totally love, so it was worth being annoyed for a while :)
Is that so? I think the people here are pretty nice :)
If you ever feel like talking to someone about figures, feel free to message me :D

Moro5 anos atrás#2608082A cozy space. I wish I had that much room to organize my collection! My house is rather small for the number of people that live in it (4).
Thank you~ Ahh that's a shame, well next year I'll be living with 5 people so I'll struggle to find room then!

Really neat, nice and spacious room you've got! I really like how you arrange your stuff.

Thanks very much ^^

Thank you! I do like looking at my collection all the time so I spread it out all across my room to do this ^^;;

Vampire knight was actually the manga rhat got me into this hobby as well. My best friends at the time wouldn't stop talking about manga and I didn't have the slightest clue as to what manga was. One day they borrowed the first volume of VK from the school library (they have like 10 manga there) and I was so annoyed that I took the book and told them I'd return it the next day...
That evening I called one of them and asked them where I could read the next chapter xp

Yuinna5 anos atrás#2608043Great collection and even better use of space! I love how neat and tidy everything looks. *-*
Also, about the sunlight situation, would curtains help block the sun? I see you have some sort of blinds, but I wasn't sure if curtains might help as well. @u@

Thank you! I'm a bit of a neat freak so I'm glad you think it looks tidy ^^ If you're talking about netted curtains then they would, but since this is University accommodation I can't take down their blinds and replace them with something else ><

I really like the corner wall glass shelves. Been thinking about putting wall shelves in my room to put figures on, looks cool. In a whole, it all looks nice and tidy. Im gunna do the same and post pics of my room/collection on my 1 year Ani. aswell :D.

Thanks very much, and I'm glad you like them! I'd recommend it providing the shelves aren't in direct sunlight ^^;; So paranoid... I look forward to seeing it when you do~
