Massive Konami Loot (Dec-Jan)!Massive Konami Loot (Dec-Jan)!Loot

EccmyEccmy5 anos atrás
Hi everyone!

I announced it about a week ago, here it is now: the loot blog I was talking about! Due to the high number of goods I had to add to the database (which also implied lots of data research, some of them had hard-to-track data, even with all the Konami merchandise sources I have), plus taking all the photos, it took this long, I'm sorry!

Speaking of the photos, sorry for the mediocre quality: weather was gloomy these last days so the lighting was pretty awful. :/

I decided to make this blog part because of relief that part of the goods in the loot finally arrived: they should have arrived in mid-December, but due to holiday hell they arrived in mid-January instead, at about the same time the other part of items arrived (at their scheduled time)!
The other reason is that some of the items were among my Highest Priority Holy Grails, two of them I even actively sought after since one year ago!

Without further ado, the loot.
Beware, this is a 100% Konami goods loot (and near 100% Tokimeki Memorial one, with 2 Konamilook magazines and two Mitsumete Knight goods being the exceptions):

Going more in detail on the loot.
First...

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/upload/pictures/2015/02/02/1209803.png

Paper stuff and hanged up goods.

ITEM #284809 is very much an oddity I was curious to get and add to my Tokimeki Memorial collection: a photo comic, in the same vein as those sappy photo-novels you can read in some magazines! It's a bit embarassing to read (it's completely safe for work, but the stories being depicted with real people turns the sappiness of the Tokimemo series up to eleven), but nonetheless an interesting novelty IMO.
Fun trivia: according to Toranoana's listing, it cost the circle a grand total of a 3 million yen budget to create that doujinshi!

Hanged up goods are ITEM #284878, ITEM #284872, ITEM #284875, ITEM #284876, and ITEM #284877. I really like the Maho keyholder and the Hikari dog tag in particular.

ITEM #209009 is a notepad. It's much smaller than I thought!

The MD pouch: ITEM #216433 . The zipper holder depicts SD Hikari Hinomoto in her china dress version. That pouch should be useful to carry my Game Boy Advance carts in my trips.

And there's the Konamilook magazines. I haven't added them in the database due to the "no magazines" rule.
They were part of a Suruga-ya deal when both them and my proxy had time sales at the same time, so I got them and the Tokimeki Memorial 3 telephone cards (shown below) at ridiculously good prices (to the order of 100 to 230 yen per item after discounts were applied!)
Those two magazines were the issues the closest to the time Mitsumete Knight was released that Suruga-ya had in stock, so I picked them in the hope there would be some interesting info to pick and scan about that franchise and the Dancing Blade series. In the end, not much I could get, although the 1998 Spring issue (the one with the sleeping RL girl) has some interesting data on other Konami franchises of the time I could get some mileage on.

Tokimemo pins, and a Tokimeki Club keyholder:
ITEM #284578
ITEM #265012
ITEM #212029
ITEM #284606
ITEM #285200
ITEM #285201
ITEM #285203
ITEM #285202
ITEM #285208
ITEM #285206 x2

They were part of two auction bundles, hence why I got one of the pins in two copies. The items I was aiming for in those bundles were the two Tokimeki no Houkago pins, the two Tokimeki Kids pins, and the keyholder, but since I won the bundles for a total combined of 700 yen, I consider this a good deal and the rest of the pins as nice extras.

Music boxes, with their companion telephone cards!
Konami has produced a number of Tokimemo-themed music boxes during the franchise's heydays. That specific line was sold on birthday date of the corresponding Tokimeki Memorial 2 heroine. They play a short version of the corresponding heroine's BGM character theme, and the companion telephone cards can be slid into the music box's window.
I really like the tunes they play. :)

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/upload/pictures/2015/02/02/1209850.png

My first tapestry! ITEM #213186 And it's of my fave Tokimemo character in one of my fave designs to boot! \O/
(The chalk pieces at the bottom right corner were added to give you an idea of the tapestry's size.)

However, it has an awful lot of creases. Guess that staying 14 years unopened and sealed in its original package will do that to any tapestry. I'll hafta be careful when ironing it, even with a cloth between the tapestry and the iron.

My first clear files! ITEM #271821 ITEM #271822 ITEM #271823 I always loved the Shuugaku Ryokou line's design, so I'm glad I got them (and the remaining two teleka of the set, see below) at a good price. ^_^

As explained above, I got the Tokimeki Memorial 3 ones through a great Suruga-ya + proxy deal. Unfortunately, Suruga-ya never sells that kind of Tokimemo teleka with their original barcode sleeves (so I'm unable to add those teleka's JAN code to the database). I guess that's a small price to pay for that great price, but I'm not very bothered, I'm not as anal regarding completeness with TM3 goods compared to TM1 and TM2.

The rest, I got them through auctions. Glad the Akane Ichimonji ones turned out to have their barcode sleeves, but I'm a bit peeved that ITEM #284600 and ITEM #284601 didn't.
The Mitsumete Knight teleka feels like the odd man out of the bunch, lol XD
And one of the Hikari Hinomoto ones (the one in third row, far right) is a very obvious (albeit very pretty) doujin good, so I didn't bother adding it to the DB.

Non-grail Konamilook Original Telephone Cards.

ITEM #202804
ITEM #202710
ITEM #285591
ITEM #285592

Again, the Tokimeki Memorial 3 ones were part of the Suruga-ya deal. Of the three, I especially like the Mari Oda one; and I've finally completed the Tokimeki Soccer teleka set with the Yukiko one I just got!
And, more Hikari and Akane cards! Yay!

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/upload/pictures/2015/02/02/1209812.png

And now, the Holy Grails of my loot! ^_^
ITEM #211072
ITEM #188102
ITEM #199462
ITEM #262600
ITEM #284592
ITEM #203015
ITEM #257520
ITEM #218776
ITEM #197841
ITEM #197804
ITEM #197806
ITEM #198121
ITEM #198839

All of them are invaluable to my eyes, but ITEM #211072, ITEM #188102, and ITEM #199462 stand out the most.

I had relentlessly stalked YAJ and Suruga-ya for those two telephone cards for a whole year, until I managed to get them at an astounding great auction price! See, those two cards routinely go for 4000+ yen each; but I got them for 1300 and 1500 yen respectively, because the auctions where I got them were severely undertagged (they were marked simply as "Tokimeki Club", in roman letters), meaning they went out of the radar of most of my potential opponents!

On the other hand, I had a bitter bid war for the Hanna keyholder. No way I would have let go such a rare item, from my fave Mitsumete Knight character to boot! So in the end it cost me 4200 yen, x6 times the original price tag!

As for the rest of the cards:
* I finally completed the Shuugaku Ryokou and the Bunkasai teleka sets! ^_^
* I already owned the "Space Tokimeki Memorial" Shiori card, but without its barcode sleeve. When I saw it for as a "Buy it now" sale at an auction seller I knew was selling his cards with their original barcode sleeves, and at a great price to boot (600 yen), I wasted no time buying it!
* ITEM #257520 get! Now the Natsu no Special Set 2003 is complete (albeit without its original cardboard display...)
* Finally got ITEM #218776 ! At a great price too, a mere 400 yen, when this card generally go for triple of this! Bummer though, it didn't have its barcode sleeve >_<... So similary to the Space Tokimeki Memorial Shiori card, I'll continue to look for a complete copy of it.

This is "My Figure Collection" here, correct? So, last but not least, the lone figure of the loot!

This is a small Shiori Fujisaki PVC figure harking back from 1997. Of course given the era, the quality is not up to today's standards, but it's a pretty figure nonetheless. The design is taken from one of Tokimeki Memorial 1's special events:

Here are some more photos of the package and the figure itself, click on the spoiler tag to see them!

...And more at the figure's entry: ITEM #218807
For some reason the remaining pictures fail to load correctly on the blog. :/

And this concludes my loot blog!
Hope you enjoyed it! (despite the Tokimemo omnipresence) -_^

WOW the cost for making that doujinshi...
And about the tapestry I collect Toys and can say most of people who get old things who were in mint condition say that the items will be getting greasy or sticky or what ever.
Sometimes I think its better to take the things out of the boxes. Or just from time to time.
And Shiori is very beautiful for a 1997 figure!

Eccmy5 anos atrás#2658090profiles.php?so... : 248 total in the database, with 73 Konamilook ones. I also own about thirty teleka of female idol and gravure talents (which I can't and won't add to the DB) and there's about half a dozen of anime and video games teleka I haven't added yet, so I'm close to owning 300 teleka.
Adding those large cardboard teleka in clear files is a good idea, I haven't thought about it! My TM2 clear files could get some use then! :p

Wowwww! Impressive! I hope to have that many in future...

Hehehe! It's a really cheap and easy method.

xueren5 anos atrás#2654969Now I'm curious how many cards you have in your collection and how many Konamilook Original Telephone Cards are there. XP
Ohhhh, that's nice since the album pages are black as well.
I have those larger cardboard displays as well, but for 2 cards. Currently, they are in my A4 clear file and I put it in the middle of an A4 paper and cut slits where the corner is and slot it in. Just like how the card is put on the cardboard display.

Eccmy5 anos atrás#2654922Ha ha! XD Glad you enjoyed seeing all those telephone cards ^_^
For the Konamilook Original Telephone Cards, I use a small photo album, dimensions: 17cm x 13.5cm. You can neatly fit one such card per page, and those albums have 24 pages. PICTURE #1210424 So far I've filled 3 such albums of Konamilook cards.
For larger cardboard displays (like this one: PICTURE #941264), I plan to use a large ring binder with rigid clear sheets. But I need to acquire it: for now those are safely stored in a cardboard box.

Rikkelt5 anos atrás#2654436i love classic konami. i'm sad they don't make many games these days.
Yes, I miss the great Konami of the 90s and early 2000s too. The variety along with the quality was present then. Konami still can dish out a few good games today, but now it's basically only Metal Gear / Bemani / Sports games. Nothing against those games (although I'm not into rythmn games), it's just that it's a narrow selection. :/

arianehk5 anos atrás#2654519those are very impressive hikari loot. made me want to play the game all over again haha
Thanks! And have fun playing Tokimemo 2 if you'll actually do it! :p
(Just remember the daunting disc-swapping you'll be in with that massive 5-disc game, ha ha)
