Gigantic loot blog - February/March!Gigantic loot blog - February/March!Loot

EccmyEccmy5 anos atrás
Hi everyone!

Pfew~~~, what a long and difficult blog it was to set up… (hence the blog avatar pic). Thanks to having won three bundles of Tokimeki Memorial goods at auctions, each chock full of various goods (so lots of pictures to take, and lots of database entries to make) among other stuff, and because of real life matters, that loot blog I have announced back in February got delayed and delayed. So I decided to merge February and March deals together (and I’ll do the same with April and May). Sorry for the wait!

Piece of warning about this loot blog: while it’s much more diverse in franchises compared to my last loot blog, it’s still dominated by the Tokimeki Memorial franchise and its spiritual successors (Mitsumete Knight, Love Plus). Just saying so if you’re not into dating sims and/or Love Live-esque series.

Also:
Lots of pictures in the blog, so beware! In order to limit the number, please refer to the respective items’ MFC entries, you’ll find more photos on most of them!

Without further ado, the loot.

There was an extra box containing the Anne GK and the G-Taste figs, but I forgot to take a pic of it before I threw it away. :/

I’m going to show you the goods box by box, except for figures (MFC’s primary interest) and telephone cards (my fave hobby; adding in laminate cards for blog construction’s coherence sake) which I’ll show here and now:

The Tokimeki Memorial figures in the first picture were all from the fourth box shown above. I’ll come back on it later, but the guy who sold that bundle was an obvious Megumi Mikihara fan (hell, there were two copies of the sitting clear one!)
The ones on the second pic, on the other hand, come from the box on the very top in the first picture; they came with candies, but seeing that those figures were released in 1998, they obviously have gone bad PICTURE #1251896 .

The Tsuzuri maid figure ITEM #509 was an instant “must get!” from me when I learned about it. So pretty! Found her for a very good price, and I absolutely don’t regret it: not only it’s as pretty as on photos, the cast-off feature is really well-done too! It’s just a shame the pegs aren’t firm enough for her pose: she can topple over if not careful when moving her. It’s not as bad as ITEM #144446 though.

I was curious about the two G-Taste figures so I bought them when I found them at a good price.
Suruga-ya labelled the Mayu Hoshino one ITEM #1965 as having “some yellowing”, hence the low price. However, it actually was coated with yellowing, due to its box’s plastic windows being dislodged! I managed to scrub off a good chunk of the yellowing with a white rubber eraser, but there’s still some work to do. (Check the photos I’ve posted on the entry to see what I mean).
As for the Tsuchiya Emiri one ITEM #284558, its condition is good, and I love the shining red gloss. However, it’s an old prize figure so it obviously has many sculpting and painting flaws. That said, I still really like it.

And, last but not least: got my first Wonder Festival exclusive garage kit! And not only it’s a really old (1998) and rare one, it’s from one of my fave franchises: Anne from Mitsumete Knight ITEM #278344 !
That GK has a lot of flashing though: PICTURE #1276438 . If I plan to build it up myself in the future after learning the ropes, I’ll need to do some serious practice before tackling it on.

Lots of Hikari Hinomoto telephone cards! She's not my fave Tokimeki Memorial 2 character for nothing, after all. Got them at really great prices too. And among the two Double Cast telephone cards, ITEM #283062 was in my ”Highest priority Holy Grails” list, so I’m really happy I was able to get it! And Eleanor Fortworth is my fave Princess Holiday character and there aren’t many telephone cards featuring her so it’s a great catch.

As for the Mitsumete Knight laminate cards, as collecting that series’ goods is one of my highest priorities, and most of said goods are fiendishly hard to obtain (15 years-old obscure series + limited print makes for a bad combo), I’m glad I was able to get them!

Now that the figures and the cards are done, let’s go box by box now.
(Note: I’ll go from top to bottom on the boxes’ pics)

First box contents (aside from the Tokimemo candy figures and most of the cards above):

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/upload/pictures/2015/04/13/1265313.png
http://s1.tsuki-board.net/upload/pictures/2015/04/13/1265316.png

Hikari Hinomoto clear files. Love the second set in particular.

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/upload/pictures/2015/04/24/1272638.png

Hikari Hinomoto strap and Shiori Fujisaki deluxe telephone card.
I plan to get the few Shiori deluxe teleka interesting me with their special jewel case.

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/upload/pictures/2015/04/25/1273281.png

Shiori Fujisaki pass case. I’m not an exceptional fan of her character, but the design here’s really pretty!

And finally, not featured on a specific photo, but that set of 4 Tokimeki Memorial 2 bromides: ITEM #303784 , ITEM #303786 , ITEM #303785 , ITEM #303787 .
Love all four of them, but as I commented on its entry, the Maho Shirayuki one is my fave of the bunch. :p

Second box contents:

This is the first of my three auction bundles winnings. Of the three, this is easily the one containing the best number of interesting items I could spot on the auction’s photos:

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/upload/pictures/2015/04/30/1276463.png

This Tokimeki Memorial 2 Limited Edition box ITEM #165804, for starters. It didn’t have the game soft itself, but I didn’t mind as I was aiming for the special PocketStation (I already own a full copy of that box)…

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/upload/pictures/2015/03/25/1252374.png

Then this Hikari Hinomoto ema. It wasn’t in my highest priority Holy Grails list, but it might as well have been as I was searching for it. Such a pretty design! Easily one of my top fave items in the whole loot!

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/upload/pictures/2015/03/30/1256045.png
http://s1.tsuki-board.net/upload/pictures/2015/03/30/1256053.png

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/upload/pictures/2015/03/30/1256083.png

And most of the contents of the Tokimeki Memorial 4 Konamistyle Limited Edition ITEM #299975 , ITEM #299974, (mfc link).
I was gunning for the mobile cleaners mainly, but the rest is a great grab as well.

And also featured in that box:

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/upload/pictures/2015/04/30/1276451.png

Tokimeki Factory: Tokimeki Memorial 2 limited edition postcards. Love those designs (especially the Hikari, Kaori, and Maho ones!)

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/upload/pictures/2015/04/30/1276449.png

Hikari Hinomoto / Kasumi Asou clear file (Kasumi is on the back).

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/upload/pictures/2015/04/30/1276442.png

Tokimeki Memorial 2 plastic bags. Not sure about its origins so I haven’t added them to the database for the time being.

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/upload/pictures/2015/03/31/1256890.png

Love Plus+ paddle fans. That’s just my opinion, but I don’t like Manaka’s design in that game. Ponytail for the win!

Third box contents:

Second auction bundle. This one primarily contains Tokimeki Memorial postcards and writing materials. But what caught my attention on this auction was the sight of ITEM #216158 on one of the pictures. As this auction was labelled as only “Tokimeki Memorial”, it went past the radar of my potential Mitsumete Knight goods-seeking rivals and I was able to snatch that bundle for a cheap price. And boy, what a great surprise grab it was, as upon opening the box…

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/upload/pictures/2015/04/30/1276447.png

That Anne postcard wasn’t the one only one! ITEM #216144 is on sight!
And then, after opening the package and checked its contents…

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/upload/pictures/2015/04/20/1269826.png
http://s1.tsuki-board.net/upload/pictures/2015/04/20/1269828.png
http://s1.tsuki-board.net/upload/pictures/2015/04/20/1269833.png
http://s1.tsuki-board.net/upload/pictures/2015/04/27/1274439.png

It wasn’t just two postcards, but four full SETS of postcards (one of which was completely unseen in the auction’s pictures)! Lucky!!

And the bundle also had the following:

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/upload/pictures/2015/04/30/1276446.png
http://s1.tsuki-board.net/upload/pictures/2015/04/04/1259867.png

Tokimeki Memorial 2 and Girl’s Side postcards. (mfc link) (mfc link)
Not interested in the Girl’s Side ones in the slightest, but the TM2 ones are lovely, especially the summer and Christmas ones (which I haven’t found out yet how they were released, so I’ll hold off adding them to the database for the time being).

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/upload/pictures/2015/04/19/1268973.png
http://s1.tsuki-board.net/upload/pictures/2015/04/30/1276461.png
http://s1.tsuki-board.net/upload/pictures/2015/04/30/1276460.png
http://s1.tsuki-board.net/upload/pictures/2015/04/30/1276459.png

Various official Tokimemo stationeries.
Letters sets: ITEM #305651 ITEM #305652 ITEM #305648 ITEM #305649 ITEM #305650 ;
Calendar: ITEM #305393 ;
Notepads: ITEM #303926 ITEM #303927

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/upload/pictures/2015/04/21/1270330.png

Tokimeki Memorial stickers. The ones on the left aren’t in the database yet because the JAN code sticker was stuck on the plastic wrap’s opening, and I want to keep it mint.
As for the ones on the left, it’s pretty rare to see goods featuring the Drama CD-only characters (such as Megumi Juuichiya and Katsuma Serizawa), so they come as a nice surprise!

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/upload/pictures/2015/04/30/1276444.png
http://s1.tsuki-board.net/upload/pictures/2015/04/30/1276443.png

And finally, some Tokimemo and To Heart doujin notepads (as such, not added to the database). Looking at them closely, they hark back from 1996.

Fourth box contents:

And this final auction bundle is easily the biggest and the heaviest (7 kilos) one of the bunch. Needless to say, while the auction price was very cheap, the shipping price wasn’t exactly friendly (doing it with Surface Mail helped a lot). See the bunch o’ stuff in the box:

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/upload/pictures/2015/04/27/1274507.png
http://s1.tsuki-board.net/upload/pictures/2015/04/27/1274508.png

And among all this, these were the items I was gunning for:

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/upload/pictures/2015/04/30/1276458.png

ITEM #266506 and ITEM #266507 were two of the items featured in my “highest priority Holy Grails” list, I searched for them really badly so I was glad to finally find them in that bundle!
Likewise, ITEM #177473 is a rare Mitsumete Knight good, and that specific CD File features one of my fave chars to boot!
And ITEM #266505 , ITEM #300873 and (mfc link) are all small goods I had interest in, glad they were in that bundle.

Also was in the bundle:

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/upload/pictures/2015/04/30/1276448.png

Tokimeki Memorial canvas bags (mfc link). I like them (especially the blue ones), they have a cute chibi design. They show their age though, it’s not exactly visible on the photo but the white ones have yellowed quite a bit.

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/upload/pictures/2015/04/30/1276462.png

Tokimemo tapestries ENCYCLOPEDIA #82963 . The ones interesting me the most in that bunch are ITEM #212884 and ITEM #212876 . The Megumi Mikihara one came in double. And speaking of which…

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/upload/pictures/2015/04/30/1276464.png

Various Megumi Mikihara goods (ITEM #41318 ITEM #41964 ITEM #304116 ITEM #304081 ITEM #304077 ITEM #212908 ITEM #303769 + a t-shirt I haven’t added to the database yet). All of them came in doubles. The guy who sold that bundle was an obvious Megumi fan (I’m not; while she’s one of the TM1 girls I like, I wouldn’t collect goods of her, I would rather do that with Saki Nijino’s.)

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/upload/pictures/2015/04/30/1276465.png

CD files ITEM #304097 ITEM #304090 ITEM #304091 ITEM #304096 ITEM #304087 ITEM #304092 , Stationary set ENCYCLOPEDIA #82951 , and Megumi Mikihara glass ITEM #304243
The glass came in doubles too, so I use one of them (made sure to wash it thoroughly of course) and keep the other in store.

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/upload/pictures/2015/04/30/1276445.png

And finally, various goods I’m not too sure if they can be added to the database so I left them alone for now. The keyholder-like things share a similar design with (mfc link), but don’t exactly look like the same, and I can’t find references. I’m not sure on which classification could go that silver card (it’s a prize good), and I dunno if stamp sheets are valid MFC entries.

Also, nearly forgot about it so not pictured: ITEM #305392
A cute vinyl pouch with the Tokimeki Memorial Taisen Tokkae Dama chibi angel design!

And this concludes my loot blog! Whew, quite a lot of things indeed!
Hope you enjoyed it!

Eccmy5 anos atrás#2947335Ah, no no, I haven't explained well my thought, sorry. I did buy those postcards; it's just that, when they're in bundle, the seller can add a lot more of them in a single package than, say, a bunch of scale figures for example.

Ohhh, I see what you mean now!

Eccmy5 anos atrás#2947794Thank you very much! Indeed, franchises with as much or more merchandise as the Tokimemo series aren't a common sight. That franchise truly was a merchandise juggernault back in the late Nineties. Good thing most of its goods can be found for cheap today for the most part! (Some of the rarer ones still cost a lot though)
I'm sorry I haven't got any goods of the franchises we have a common interest in lately to show you. :( Although on the next loot blog, this might be different, even if only slightly... So stay tuned for it! -_^

Aw, that's nothing to apologize for. I love seeing loot posts, even if I have never heard of the series before. (I look at so many of the loot posts people make, although rarely comment because I'm easily shy.) I was always fond of show-and-tell when I was in kindergarten, so to me this is kinda like a more grown up version of that. I still love seeing neat things that people get/have and hearing about them~ And I look forward to your next loot post!

(If any of them even had this much. I have a feeling most don't.) Thanks so much for sharing, it was really neat to see!

victorviper5 anos atrás#2947393I always enjoy your old-school loot posts ;).
Thanks, victorviper! The feeling is shared, I always have a lot of fun reading your reviews of old-school figures. ^_^ My next loot blog is gearing towards old-school stuff as well, but there will be a couple of recent goods. For instance, a few days ago I've acquired some Amiibos. Which ones? That'll be a secret until then! :p Although if you look at my collection and the clubs I joined, and thus my tastes, you can make a fairly reasonable guess. :p

There were less of them compared to last time, though. I acquired an extra handful of them during April, stay tuned for them on my next blog! ;)
And yes, I got quite a number of postcards courtesy of those auction bundles, ha ha. :p Such items are prone to be added in such bundles, actually. They're small and flat, so they don't take a lot of place and you can put a big quantity of them in a single lot.
