Hi MFC!

I'm here with my big, but very belated Christmas and Birthday 2015 gift haul blog! As I was born on December 31, Christmas and my birthday are two separate events whose gifts are traditionally given simultaneously in the House of Ardenor. And in the year of 2015, I have no less than four friends and fellow MFC members of whom I wish to thank for giving me said gifts. To THEYASMINSHOW, CARBON1903, THECHRIST718, and VIOMARINER, it's your generosity and good will that I wish to highlight in this small but exceedingly image heavy (you've been warned!) blog of mine. So, without further ado, let's get started with my oldest friend on MFC, and gift giving master, theyasminshow!

theyasminshow's gift

Yasmin really surprised me with her Christmas gift back in 2014. It's not just that I wasn't expecting it. What really intrigued me about it was how she teased me incessantly between her cryptic, but cleverly written greeting card, combined with her even more suggestive private message on MFC. After all, what was I to really think after she invoked words like "anime tiddie pics" and "TENGA toys" after I questioned her about it??? Of course, everything made perfect sense in the end, and because of it I came away feeling like the whole gift giving experience had somehow been elevated to a whole new level. I came away with questions like, "had she premeditated everything from that implication about me being a more 'mature collector'; to that oblong-shaped package; to that frantic apology about me not being able to photograph or blog about her gift due to the x-rated content?" Or was it all the product of some strange coincidence with me filling in a few too many blanks that needn't be filled? Honestly, to this day I really don't know if she was fucking with me or not. But if one thing is certain, it's that she managed to impress me again in 2015.

One thing Yasmin and I had been chatting on and off again throughout the year was my on-going bedroom renovation project. I was really excited about giving my bedroom a face lift, complete with new paint and furniture. And with me being the overly passionate hobbyist that I am, it was also my intention to decorate this bedroom with many of my figures and hobby-related collectibles, art prints, tapestries, and more. Clearly she hadn't forgotten about my goals for this room renovation, as she warned me about sending along some customized design kits with her gift to me:

theyasminshowJust a semi-spoiler heads-up. Since you're renovating your house and all, some of my coworkers told me about this little company that does something like design-consultation-somethingorother and recommended them to me sooooo I got you some customized kits from them. It took forever to get here though. On top of that I opted for their gift wrap service so they wrapped up everything and I feel like a damn derp because now I can't actually look at the final results and do my own QC on how they came out. (Plus the wrapping paper is pretty but overall plainly done so I started sticking bows and things on it. You know me by now lol.)

SO what I'm saying is if there's anything out of place in there please let me know *ASAP!!* since I'm semi blind-sending these things to you and I will contact them and ruin their Christmas post-haste.

Customized design kits. Interesting. I hadn't really considered seeking professional advice or consultation with regards to the renovation of my bedroom. And although virtually all the hard work had already been completed by this point in time, I promised to keep an open-mind and take into consideration whatever this company had to offer me. After all, it was the least I could do for a friend who would go this far to help me make my renovation project the best damn result it could possibly be!

So when Yasmin's package arrived in the mail a few days after I received her message, I had every expectation of discovering some brochures, catalogs, pamphlets, and order forms inside. These are supposed to be design kits after all, right? What else could she possibly have been referring to? Just wait...

Upon opening the package, among the first things I found were a personalized greeting card written by Yasmin herself--

http://i.imgur.com/dVNUVvJl.jpg

http://i.imgur.com/R3kz5aWl.jpg

http://i.imgur.com/jrgsVKWl.jpg
Yasmin knows I'm a whore for Utaha Kasumigaoka from "Saekano," which is why she mentioned her

--a letter from Happy Home Designer Services signed by Lottie Jameson--

http://i.imgur.com/prmD84bl.jpg

--and an invoice from Happy Home Designer Services, with a list of items which includes an "Ambiance Enhancement 2pc Set," "Coffee Table Enrichment Package," and "Dull Wall Removal Kit."

http://i.imgur.com/rOjWSrhl.jpg

So at this point I thought to myself, "wow! She was actually serious about those customized design kits!" After all, here was an invoice from some design firm I guess located in Church Stoke, PA, with a signature from some individual I guess named Lottie Jameson. And, hey! Lottie even signed her name with a heart! Awwww. That's kind of cute. They must really value customer service, right?

Without really thinking a whole lot more about it than what I could see with my eyes (my mistake), I carefully removed each of the remaining gift-wrapped packages from the larger shipping parcel.

http://i.imgur.com/rE7pmPpl.jpg

http://i.imgur.com/DXRqqxFl.jpg
This small gift came with a teaser on it that read, "A proper environment isn't limited to just visuals! SKU MAC-D1V4"

http://i.imgur.com/O5cXDQ0l.jpg
This wide, but thin gift came with a teaser on it that read, "These will be sure to enhance your coffee table or library! SKU DOU-DR4W"

http://i.imgur.com/hErDQVml.jpg
This especially wide, but thick gift came with a teaser on it that read, "This kit will help to liven up any boring wallspace. SKU DWRK-2199"

I could only suspect that the latter two packages in white wrapping paper with gold stars must have come from Happy Home Designer Services since their surfaces contained teasers hinting at the contents--presumably the aforementioned design kits--within. Oh, but wait! There was something else buried at the very bottom of the larger shipping parcel...

http://i.imgur.com/BNNC8aal.jpg
I'm not sure why, but somehow I failed to notice that this unwrapped item had a teaser attached to it as well.

Ohhh, it's a Devil Homura desk mat! This could only be the "other" raven-haired beauty at the bottom of the box that Yasmin noted in her greeting card. Very cool. I'm a huge fan of Homura's; especially her "Devil" Homura incarnation, and Yasmin knows this. I have a nice spot on my desk for this beautiful desk mat. But what other mysteries lie within these remaining packages, just waiting to be unwrapped? Let's start with the first package with blue wrapping paper:

http://i.imgur.com/eXhCbiwl.jpg

Well, I'll be damned if my Brain hadn't Burst upon seeing this lovely young lady in the magenta packaging adorned with digitized butterflies. It's Max Factory's figma Kuroyukihime, Avatar ver. ITEM #98924 ! Yasmin surely must have noticed her on my MFC wish list. Thank you, thank you! I have much love for Kuroyukihime-senpai! Now given that I unwrapped this Kuroyukihime figure from the only package having blue wrapping paper; and given that she surely must be the "other"-other raven-haired beauty mentioned by Yasmin in her greeting card, I was fairly certain that the remaining items must have surely come from this Happy Home Designer Services. After all, they all had matching gift wrap and they all contained little teaser messages attached to them. Hmmm. What on earth could they really be?

I decided to start with the smallest packages first, and work my way up from there. Now, as a reminder, the first one had a teaser attached to it which read "A proper environment isn't limited to just visuals! SKU MAC-D1V4". What's inside?

http://i.imgur.com/fsxhbE7l.jpg

Macross Frontier OST 1 ITEM #49686 and 2 ITEM #49697 !! Well, well, well. This wasn't a brochure. Or a catalog. Or a pamphlet. Or even an order form. This was Macross Frontier, baby! Sheryl Nome! Yoko Kanno! MAY'N! I remember Macross F fondly. It's been awhile since its original TV series run, but it's remained relevant for several years now, and its music is timeless. I've had every intention of snatching up these OSTs for some time now, but Yasmin ultimately saved me the trouble of doing so. I love this music so much. Thank you!

Well, that was a pleasant surprise! Not what I was expecting at all! Let's continue on to the next package. Now this one had a teaser attached to it that read, "These will be sure to enhance your coffee table or library! SKU DOU-DR4W". Thinking, thinking. Hmmm. Well, the package is about the size of a catalog, I would expect. So Show. Me. Design kits!

http://i.imgur.com/WOpIbJbl.jpg

http://i.imgur.com/an37CMal.jpg

http://i.imgur.com/a1LQVhcl.jpg

http://i.imgur.com/q1MhfzDl.jpg

HAH! Okay. These are made of PAPER if nothing else, so while I accurately thought "book," I failed to predict the original art and illustrations of my revered Kill la Kill and Madoka Magica characters within. Seriously, this is a set of some really lovely artwork. All three as it turns out are full-color doujinshi artwork collaborations featuring works from many of Japan's up-and-coming illustrators. There's "Witch/stay night" ITEM #80316 and "Pixiv x Madoka Magica Illus Collection" ITEM #201509, featuring illustrations of Madoka Magica characters. And "No Limit" ITEM #187661, featuring illustrations of Kill la Kill characters. No doubt about it, all three would make a superb addition to my coffee table or library!

How about that? 0/2 so far. In both instances the presumed design kits I was led to believe were contained within these gifts really turned out to be hobby-related collectibles and merchandise geared toward my interests. NOT THAT I'M COMPLAINING, mind you. But I sensed at this point that I had been taken for a ride. One more package to go. The teaser read, "This kit will help to liven up any boring wallspace. SKU DWRK-2199". So what are you really if not a room design kit, you especially wide but thick gift!?!?

http://i.imgur.com/sb9WIEvl.jpg

She got me again...

No, in all seriousness, Yasmin gifted me another item on my wish list, and another charming little gem that she knows is close to my heart. It's from one of my all-time absolute favorite anime TV series. And although it's identified as an "art book" here on MFC, this Space Battleship Yamato 2199 Premium Poster Book ITEM #177591 is exactly that: a poster book. The product itself is A3-sized, but within this thin, but sturdy cardboard container is a set of A2-sized posters! Here, feast your eyes on just a few of the posters inside it:

http://i.imgur.com/gqos3UPl.jpg

http://i.imgur.com/LeR3rEEl.jpg

http://i.imgur.com/DH2tkyJl.jpg

http://i.imgur.com/LbB4P3Bl.jpg

Among the ten posters within this premium poster book, it's that last one featuring the full cast of female Yamato crew members that I believe I'll be hanging on my bedroom wall. Don't worry, Yasmin. I have little doubt this will liven up my boring wallspace!

So in the end there were no room design kits. At least none that I expected, anyway. They were all cleverly labeled to make me think so, however, and yet they the descriptions still meshed perfectly with the real contents inside. But that's not the end of it! Let's review everything one last time and see just how far Yasmin went to tie up this gift with a pretty bow.

Let's start with the invoice from Happy Home Designer Services. There were three items included on the invoice, if you recall. There was the--

Ambiance Enhancement 2pc Set, which turned out to be the Macross OST 1 and 2
Coffee Table Enrichment Package, which turned out to be the set of three doujinshi featuring illustrations of Kill la Kill and Madoka Magica characters
and Dull Wall Removal Kit, which turned out to be the Space Battleship Yamato 2199 Premium Poster Book including ten A2-sized posters

Going deeper, still, did anyone notice anything peculiar about the teasers and associated SKUs?

The SKU attached to the Macross F OSTs read MAC-D1V4 which is likely code for Macross Diva.

The SKU attached to the doujinshi read DOU-DR4W which is likely code for Doujinshi Drawings.

And the SKU attached to the Space Battleship Yamato 2199 Premium Poster Book read DWRK-2199 which is likely code for (I don't know, maybe Yasmin can shed light on this one!) 2199. To say Yasmin put some serious thought into all this would be a real understatement.

And before I move on to my gift from carbon1903, I have a question for you, Yasmin. One burning question that's been on my mind ever since I opened your gift, and I hope you'll indulge my curiosity because I think I'm owed an explanation. So tell me, Yasmin: are you Lottie Jameson???

Thank you very, very much, Yasmin! Well done. You shocked me again. :D

carbon1903's gift

Carbon1903 is another MFC member I'm very proud to call my friend. I've had the pleasure of chatting with him about music, photography, and visual novels, as well as matters pertaining to our personal lives. He introduced me to Volks' Dollfie Dream line of dolls, and it was with his help that I made my very first DD purchase, Sheryl Nome ITEM #256130. I honestly had no idea that Carbon would be getting me a gift for Christmas last year. It caught me completely by surprise. But when it arrived in the mail one day, I couldn't have been more pleased and delighted!

To start things off, Carbon created a personalized greeting card with a cover illustration of Utaha Kasumigaoka he replicated by hand:

http://i.imgur.com/9010uU7l.jpg
Carbon knows I'm a whore for Utaha Kasumigaoka from "Saekano," which is why he illustrated her

She's beautiful. Thank you!

Now with me having just recently acquired my first Dollfie Dream doll, Sheryl Nome, Carbon recognized the need to supplement my DD wardrobe with a sexy underwear set from Cool Cat! It was probably around last summer when he originally drew my attention to this sexy long gown lingerie set: 1292en-ycnet.so.... It definitely piqued my interest, but at the time I was unwilling to make the commitment to buy without having Sheryl in my possession until much later in the year. After all, she was releasing in December and the option to buy this wardrobe was months ahead of that. "I'm very interested, but I'll come back and buy it later," I remember telling him. Fast forward to December and that lingerie set I wanted for Sheryl had long since sold out. I missed my chance...

Personally, I was ready to give up on it, until who but Carbon himself would gift me one of his own:

http://i.imgur.com/HCQk9qIl.jpg

I can't imagine why he'd want to part with this lovely gown! After all, just look at how gorgeous his DD Sarara turned out in this photo shoot he did: www.flickr.com/...

But he knew I was really interested in it, and so he gave it to me as a gift for Christmas. He even threw in some tall boots for good measure!

http://i.imgur.com/XBOtE7il.jpg

They're really lovely gifts, my friend, and I just know Sheryl's going to look great in them. :D

As much as you apologized in your greeting card for the gift, the card, and the illustration--and let me just say right now that all of that apologizing was completely unnecessary since I love everything about your gift!!--it's me who should apologize to you. After all, the recipient of this wardrobe, the very lovely Sheryl Nome, I still have yet to unbox. :/ Yes, I know, I know. I'm terrible for letting her go this long without seeing the light of day. But I ASSURE YOU her day is coming. Once I get this big post-holiday mess all cleaned up, Sheryl will have her day in the sun, and it will be a glorious day indeed. Hell, I just might even photograph the event and write a blog about it on MFC. Keep an eye out!

Thank you again, my friend!

Two very creative people from MFC I'm thrilled to have as my friends. Next, a gift from my oldest real-life friend, thechrist718!

thechrist718's gift

thechrist718, who I'll be referring to as "Chris" for short from now on, is my oldest friend and someone I also know really well in real-life. Although she's not particularly active on MFC, she understands my hobbies and interests exceedingly well. Plus, she's part of our collecting culture as well... just not to the crazy-crazy extent that many of the rest of us are! So for Christmas 2015 and my recent birthday this past December, Chris indulged a few of my very specific passions starting with this lovely little shoujo:

http://i.imgur.com/eX1OoWTl.jpg

By this point, you've heard me put over titles like Kill la Kill, Macross Frontier, Madoka Magica, and Space Battleship Yamato 2199 as among my absolute favorites of all-time! I'm sure I must sound like a broken record by now, but the Monogatari series is another one of my most revered. My friends know me really well, I guess. :P The thing about Good Smile Company's Nendoroid Nadeko Sengoku ITEM #189894 is she was the last of the Monogatari series nendoroids I had to collect in order to complete it. I have all the other ones, including Suruga Kanbaru ITEM #166960 of whom Chris actually gifted me in 2014 ironically enough. Needless to say, I'm very happy to have them all now! Now where are the Fire Sisters, Yotsugi Ononoki, and Ougi Oshino at, GSC???

But in addition to Nendoroid Nadeko, Chris got me Super Smash Bros. for the Nintendo 3DS, and an Eli Ayase keyholder ITEM #311106 !

http://i.imgur.com/bKylT5Hl.jpg
Chris knows I'm a whore for Utaha Kasumigaoka from "Saekano," which is why she got me an Eli Ayase keyholder... lol, I'm kidding!

Funny enough, Chris doesn't own Super Smash Bros. herself, but she does have a Nintendo 3DS. I might have to rectify this little oversight that so we can play this game together!

Oh, and that's not all! Chris pre-ordered me a little something as well. You see, after I pre-ordered Bandai's Crystal Sailor Mercury ITEM #261661 some months ago, I must have mentioned to Chris or she noticed on my wish list my intention to order Sailor Mars ITEM #287682, too. So after giving me my gift of Nendoroid Nadeko, Super Smash Bros., and the Eli keyholder, she told me not to order Sailor Mars since she already ordered her for me! Ohhh~, lucky me!

Although it will be some time before I own Mercury, and especially Mars given her presumed June release date this year, I take comfort in knowing that I'll own both of my favorite inner senshi and I can display them side-by-side, virtually back-to-back given their complimentary poses. Niiice!

Chris, what else is there to say? We've known each other a long time, and you're the best friend anyone could possibly have. Thank you so much for your very kind Christmas and birthday gifts to me!

And finally, it's kouhai's turn!

VioMariner's gift

VioMariner is another active member of our MFC community of whom I share a special bond. I like to think of myself as senpai to VioMariner's kouhai. What started as a simple private message eventually transformed into a real world friendship, and I revel in every opportunity to really "geek out" with her as we engage in spirited conversation about anime, games, and especially collecting. Now if there's one thing VioMariner's come to learn about my personal collecting habits, it's my penchant for buying impulsively. Of course, I could say the exact same thing about her! I swear, every time I've gotten a gift for her, I have to bite down hard on my lip and practically PRAY that she doesn't end up buying herself the same item before I can give it to her! For her Christmas and birthday gift to me, last year, the only thing she had to warn me in advance about was to not purchase a calendar for 2016! Apparently she had that one covered. But, just to be safe, I decided to refrain from buying ANYTHING for myself so as not to spoil whatever else she might have had in store for me.

When last we met, she presented me with an enormous gift bag! Before peering inside, I swore up and down to her that I hadn't given ANY thought to what she might have gotten me! After all, I didn't want to spoil the surprise with any suspicion or expectation on my part. Well, okay. Maybe I PEEKED at the newest 2016 calendars just a little bit! But beyond that, I was going in blind. Up first was a personalized greeting card with an official illustration of Hitagi Senjougahara from the Monogatari series on the cover!

http://i.imgur.com/l4IXTuEl.jpg
VioMariner knows I'm a whore for Utaha Kasumigaoka from "Saekano," but she also knows that I'm an even bigger whore for Hitagi Senjougahara, which is why she printed her on the cover of my card

Unlike Yasmin's gift, where I started with the smallest items and worked my way up, I found myself reaching for the biggest items in VioMariner's gift bag first. The biggest item was exceedingly bigger than all the rest, so it was only natural that I fished this scaled figure out!

http://i.imgur.com/uFc5XVAl.jpg

Well, if this isn't a surprise! It's Good Smile Company's Rin Shibuya ITEM #117926 from The Idolmaster: Cinderella Girls! Hmmmm. Thinking back on the sequence of events, I guess it's no mystery as to why VioMariner wanted to know where I was displaying all my idol figures. But where she was particularly clever in her purchase of this figure was my uncertainty as to whether I should buy her or not. Don't get me wrong! Rin Shibuya is unquestionably my favorite idol from Cinderella Girls. But I had waffled back and forth on Good Smile's New Generation ver. scaled figure. It was wise of her to select something she knew I was at low risk of buying impulsively. Clever girl! But with VioMariner recently adding Uzuki Shimamura ITEM #166431 to her own collection, she had it in mind to have Rin Shibuya join mine like we had a matching pair. Well, I can't argue with that! I really appreciate that sentiment and it ascribes a whole new meaning to the Rin figure that would have been absent otherwise. And you know what else? After taking a closer look at her, I'm convinced I'm really happy to have Rin join my collection and be a proud new member of my idol scales! Good Smile Company did an amazing job with this set of New Generations girls. But in the end we agreed that it's unfortunate we don't know anyone close to us with an affinity for Mio Honda ITEM #166911 ! Had that been the case, we could have been a trio, rather than a duo. :P

Moving on to the next piece...

http://i.imgur.com/WOJ0gNnl.jpg

Ho, ho, ho! It's all coming together now, like it was truly meant to be! Okay, I was just mentioning with Chris's gift how great it would be to join Bandai's Crystal Sailor Mercury and Mars together since they'd look so natural displayed back-to-back. But with VioMariner adding Crystal Sailor Moon ITEM #261676 into the mix, now I'll have the perfect centerpiece, the Princess of the Moon Kingdom herself, at the forefront of my display! Oh, this it too perfect!

Buuut... I can't help but feel like the addition of Sailor Moon here is an enabling factor. After all, with three sailor guardians already at my disposal or on the way in the months ahead, that's not too far off from five. Suddenly, the prospect of ordering Jupiter and Venus when they finally go on sale sounds a lot more tempting than it ever did before. Awww, do you see what you're doing to me, VioMariner!?!? You're an enabler dolling out the Sailor Moon crack!! I hope you're ready to take responsibility for my Crystal methMoon addiction!

Reaching back into VioMariner's bag of tricks, I discovered...

http://i.imgur.com/kvn9w7Pl.jpg

WOW! It's a pair of Shaft's 40th Anniversary Madogatari mini figures! This is the duo of Hanekawa, well, BLACK Hanekawa to be specific, dressed up in Mami Tomoe's black pajamas ITEM #347531; and Mami Tomoe dressed up in Hanekawa's orange pajamas ITEM #347532 ! As I'm sure VioMariner could tell by my reaction, I was particularly surprised to discover these two among her gifted items! But as a HUGE fan of Madoka Magica and the Monogatari series, they're the perfect fit for me and my collection of related figures and merchandise. Well, I'll absolutely HAVE to get the other pairs of figures in this line! I'll make it my priority to secure Hitagi+Homura, and Madoka+Shinobu early this year. See? You're enabling me again! Us collector-friends really are the worst for each other, right? :P

So many exciting gifts uncovered already, but still a few more items left to go! Oh, have a look at this roll! This must certainly be that calendar VioMariner warned me not to buy for myself! Ohhh, boy! Let's take a closer look at what we've got here!

http://i.imgur.com/rwc1lWml.jpg

Now this is actually a Kantai Collection, or KanColle 2016 calendar ITEM #360876 ! Now VioMariner, nor myself, had any knowledge of what the contents of this calendar actually looked like prior to her giving it to me. Only after unrolling it and paging through the months of the year could we determine exactly what this mysterious calendar could be...

http://i.imgur.com/IQlTWFLl.jpg

http://i.imgur.com/oCVPjp1l.jpg
Kaga <3

Now what's unfortunate about this calendar is in how the days are written in kanji. I don't know kanji, so at this point I'm unable to accurately attribute any of the numbers in that column to an actual day. It's understandable, though. This is a Japanese calendar after all, and KanColle has yet to be officially introduced to Westerners as far as I'm aware. Still, the artwork in this calendar is gorgeous. Here are a couple more examples:

http://i.imgur.com/NAmo4T2l.jpg

http://i.imgur.com/YTJrxaZl.jpg

The cast of KanColle is big and ever-growing, and I'd be lying if I said I recognized any of these girls beyond Kaga on page 1! Nevertheless, the artwork is beautiful as I mentioned before, and I'm in need of a new calendar to replace my Madoka Magica themed one from 2015 anyway. This has an immediate home on my wall nearby. Thank you so much, VioMariner!

Winding down to the final two items now, we've got...

http://i.imgur.com/r6PkNtBl.jpg

An especially large acrylic key holder in the image of my beloved Hitagi Senjougahara ITEM #352564 ! Annndddddddd...

http://i.imgur.com/EEcfuRol.jpg

My favorite Japanese snack food, Meiji's Kinoko no Yama: mushroom-shaped chocolatey biscuits! Oishi!!! I can already imagine myself munching on these yummy little shrooms tonight while I'm snacking out in front of the TV. Bliss!

Thank you so much for your wonderful Christmas and birthday gift, my special little kouhai! Your senpai is most-assuredly very pleased! ;)

MFC, it's no mystery the holidays have been especially good to me. Even more than the gifts I received from these four very special people--and believe me when I say I love all these gifts to DEATH!--I just feel so very blessed to have forged these important bonds of friendship with members of your community. In my experience, Christmas and even birthdays have a way of transforming us collectors who are usually perfectly content with receiving things into MASTERFUL givers. I just want to thank all my friends, theyasminshow, carbon1903, thechrist718, and VioMariner one last time for making Christmas 2015 and my 32nd birthday a memorable one.

THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!

How do you even come up with all these ideas? :P Whimsy, actually. I make things up on the fly and so far, it works.

I think it'd be almost wasteful for your future husband to propose to you in a way, because you'd do an infinitely better and far more MEMORABLE job proposing marriage to him instead. It would probably involve a headlock or some other submission hold, knowing me. LOL

Ardenor4 anos atrás#6348950Bahhh! Don't be silly! Look, there's no expectation. Hey, whether you give me inexpensive gifts, expensive gifts, no gifts, or many gifts, I still think you're a class act and a great person. But you're still going to have to take responsibility for getting me into DD culture. There's no getting around that one!

Ok, now that's an insult (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻ No expectation!?
Fine. Be prepared. I will take responsible and marry you err i mean cater to your DD(s).

Now that you actually blog about it, i feel so bad sending you so little gifts. Only 3 pics! And that illustration is utterly trash. Thank you, for teaching me what it means to be good friend :)
I'm sorry i burst into your life

2. No I am not (quite) Lottie, I'm sure some of you easily figured it out but
3. I decided to get my dear Ardenor some "housewarming gifts" after looking through his wishlist, but meanwhile I withheld from getting the new Animal Crossing aka "Happy Home Designer" for myself so I could ask my mommy for it for Christmas (something easy for her to to pick up/not expensive/something I want). So I had that on my mind since I *KNEW* I was getting it (thanks mom!)

As for Jameson, it's a brand of Whiskey. Whiskey is always the name of my Animal Crossing town. So "Lottie" will be obvious to some of you, Jameson was a near-impossible reference.
5. And of course the speech in AC is all gibberish and you have to focus on the on-screen speech bubble. I found the speech bubble post-its at IKEA of all places, bless.
5 So I wrapped it all up, made the letter/invoice (the template I used had that PA address so I kept it), and sent that PM, torn between "he's not gonna fall for this" and "this is gonna be great." Note the invoice number is 122515 (12/25/2015)
6. "Why make all these references he won't get?" Because I know he'll get excited at how clever I am and blog about it and then you AC/HHD players spot the extra layer and then he gets surprised all over again! This is the power of television.
5. I had the matching Pixiv Magica shopping bag in the bottom of the box below Homuclearposter, I hope you didn't throw it out JFC
6. My handwriting looks like shit wow
7. Help me make a loot post I'm so busy
8. Obligatory: HAHAHAHAHAHA GOTCHA! AGAIN! I mean ahem you're welcome and the best part is your enjoyment ^_^

Ahhh! I should have picked up on the Kuroyukihime hints. I'm afraid I took your greeting card for granted this time, and focused instead on uncovering all the hidden meanings in the cover letter, invoice, and tag lines with SKUs from Happy Home Designer. Let me ask you, how long in advance did you plan all this out? How do you even come up with all these ideas? :P

Now the Lottie Jameson reference, particularly the "Lottie" part in connection with Happy Home Designer, I would have never figured out unless I played Animal Crossing. Was that one for your own personal amusement, I wonder? Or maybe you had it in mind that I'd blog about your gift eventually and someone else would figure it out for me? Nevermind! Reading further along, I see that's exactly what you had in mind. You know what, Yasmin? I think it'd be almost wasteful for your future husband to propose to you in a way, because you'd do an infinitely better and far more MEMORABLE job proposing marriage to him instead. Wouldn't you agree? I think it's pretty indisputable! And I can't even begin to imagine how you'd do it because your way of thinking is a bit of an anomaly to me; but I'll be damned if it isn't the most surprising thing ever. :P

Getting back on topic...! Yes, I did recover the matching bag for the Pixiv Madoka book; I just forgot to photograph it for the blog. Oh, and I've since read and commented on your amazing wooser collection blog earlier this afternoon. God damn if that isn't the most amazing collection I've ever seen.

As far as gifts go, I don't know if I can ever match your skills, but that won't stop me from trying. If I can post an obnoxious laughing gif on one of your gift haul blogs one day, I'll consider that "mission accomplished." ;)

God, how did i miss this? Look like i don't waste enough time on MFC yet.
Now that you actually blog about it, i feel so bad sending you so little gifts. Only 3 pics! And that illustration is utterly trash. Thank you, for teaching me what it means to be good friend :)
I'm sorry i burst into your life

0. "Butterflies" in the stomach + "Stay young, shounen" -> KYH hints
1. DWRK = Dull Wall Removal Kit, I thought anything else + "2199" would be too obvious.
4. Lottie Jameson. Lottie is the new NPC in Happy Home Designer, which is about customizing homes for other characters.

Very nice!

One of the latest Animal Crossing games is called Happy Home Designer, and one of the characters who works at the design firm is named Lottie, perhaps that is the answer to your mystery? The detail that went into the letter and invoice is pretty cool!
