Another Month, Another Great Haul (March 2017)Another Month, Another Great Haul (March 2017)

Disclaimer!
This blog contains material that may be offensive to those triggered by LED lights, The Legend of Zelda, super adorable anime girls, childhood nostalgia and rock music from the 1970s. If you are offended by any of these things, you are a pitiful creature who probably also hates on people who enjoy pineapple on pizza. I think it's delicious! Deal with it! .....Anyway, reader discretion is advised.

Gather around, everyone! It's time once again to share with MFC all the nerdy treasures I caught in my web this month. I have reached a stage where I need to be more strict with my decisions on what to pre-order as I have experienced a minor cut in my monthly income. Fortunately, a fair amount of this loot already had a 25% deposit or was paid for in full several months ago. So the actual amount of money spent in March has been pretty manageble. So without any further delay, let's take a look at some cool new stuff! (◕ヮ◕)

Fate/Grand Order 1/7 Saber
Deluxe Edition

https://static.myfigurecollection.net/image/600/ChocolateSpider1492303602.jpeg

This is my first scale Saber figure with her iconic battle armor. I only started checking out the Fate series last year and still have a lot of catching up to do, but I am enjoying it so far. Due to the sheer number of Saber figures out there, I have tried to stay away from them until I decide whether or not I am into the series. But I made an exception with this figure just because it looks so stunning. Was this a good decision? Here is your answer.

Behold the king of knights in all her majestic glory!

https://static.myfigurecollection.net/image/600/ChocolateSpider1491850465.jpeg
Those LEDs though. (o3o)

I pre-ordered this from Tokyo Otaku Mode way back at the end of April 2016. TOM only accepts full up-front payment, but they had a massive point multiplier campaign at the time. So I feel I got it for a good value and its payment was taken care of long ago.

Naruto Gals: Hinata Hyuuga

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/600/ChocolateSpider1492299378.jpeg

It has taken waaaaaaaaay too freaking long for this to happen in my life, but I finally have a legit and super adorable figure of best girl, Hinata Hyuuga.

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/600/ChocolateSpider1491850463.jpeg

Hinata has always been one of my favorite characters in this series. Why? One simple reason: cuteness! Look at her! Look at that precious smile. How do you say "no" to that face? (ᗒωᗕ)

I remember watching Naruto for the first time on Toonami every Saturday. I always had a powerful urge to boop hinata's nose on the TV screen because she is just so cute and lovable. (*´ヮ`*)

Sword Art Online Action Figures

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/600/ChocolateSpider1492299380.jpeg

Three figures from the popular anime series, "Sword Art Online," entered my collection this month. My pre-order of the Leafa Figma came from AmiAmi and the re-released Kirito and Sinon Nendoroids came from Tokyo Otaku Mode.

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/600/ChocolateSpider1492299382.jpeg

I am especially pleased with how Leafa turned out. I am enjoying her surprised face. It is the exact face one makes when they suddenly walk in on something lewd.

Love Live Prize Figures

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/600/ChocolateSpider1492299386.jpeg

I got these from AmiAmi's pre-owned section because the prices of these items have started to drop there by about 300 yen for A/B units. I got Honoka in her Sunny Day Song outfit and Nozomi in her Snow Halation outfit. Both of these are from Sega's SPM figure line.

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/600/ChocolateSpider1492300447.jpeg

Now that Nozomi has entered my collection, I finally have the complete set of Sega's Snow Halation prize figures! HOORAY! (^o^)

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/600/ChocolateSpider1492300449.jpeg

The process of completing this set has spanned more than a year, but it has been so worth it. I am going to have to set up a special LED system to make this set shine on my Love Live shelf. (^o^)

Transformers

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/600/ChocolateSpider1492314386.jpeg

I added two Transformers to my army of robots this month. My pre-order of Transformers Masterpiece: Beast Wars Cheetor arrived from AmiAmi.

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/600/ChocolateSpider1492367231.jpeg

Thanks to a coupon WEWE shared at the Bargains/Sales/Coupons club, I also snagged this special edition PlayStation Optimus Prime on Ebay that I forgot to purchase for a while.

Optimus: "Transform!"
Cheetor: "Maximize!"

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/600/ChocolateSpider1492314390.jpeg

Now my action figures have their own PlayStation to enjoy classics like Spyro the Dragon, Crash Bandicoot, Final Fantasy VII and lots of other nostalgic titles. (◕ヮ◕)

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/600/ChocolateSpider1492314392.jpeg

Honoka:
"This game is awesome! The music is super catchy too! We should totally have Stewart Copeland write a melody for U's. Didn't you say he was the drummer of an old rock band, Spidey-kun?"

Me:
"Yes. He was the drummer for The Police from 1977 - 1986."

Honoka:
"COOOOOOOOOL!" (◕ヮ◕)

Cheetor:
"So we're all just gonna pretend these two mechs fighting each other aren't here, right? ......Ok then. And who's that black fox?

First 4 Figures Okami Amaterasu
Exclusive Edition

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/600/ChocolateSpider1489981395.jpeg

I pre-ordered this after initial pre-orders were closed and was put on the waitlist. I was going to get the standard edition, but I changed my mind when I saw how the LED feature looked in pictures from other owners.

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/600/ChocolateSpider1489951673.jpeg

Sadly, what I saw was not an accurate representation of the LED feature. Everyone that took pictures of this must have been using default settings on their cameras, which has a tendency to exaggerate the amount of light from a luminescent subject.

It is still a very lovely statue though. Click here for my review and how I adjusted my camera to get an accurate image of the amount of light from the LEDs.

Breath of the Wild Bundle!

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/600/ChocolateSpider1492303604.jpeg

Like many gamers out there, I boarded the hype train for the new Zelda game as soon as it arrived. As you can see, I got a nice pile of items associated with this one title. I decided to get the Wii U version of the game because I do not see myself getting a Switch for quite some time due to stock and finances. Plus I wanted to try running this game in 4K on my PC using the Cemu Wii U Emulator, which actually works pretty well right now. Still some bugs to work out, but it is getting there.

To aid me on this new adventure are four Amiibos:
Archer Link, Rider Link, Zelda, and Guardian.

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/600/ChocolateSpider1492303606.jpeg

I chose not to get the Bokoblin Amiibo because I didn't feel particularly interested in having it on display in my Nintendo Collection. The other Amiibos already give me some meat, so I felt there was ultimately not much reason for me to purchase it.

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/600/ChocolateSpider1492303608.jpeg

The Guardian Amiibo is easily my favorite. Giving this Amiibo fully bendable legs was a nice touch. The legs are strong enough to stand up straight and hold all sorts of different poses.

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/600/ChocolateSpider1492303610.jpeg

Along with the Amiibos, I pre-ordered this 10 inch PVC statue of Link by First 4 Figures from Best Buy.

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/600/ChocolateSpider1488592647.jpeg

Visa Checkout had a $25 off promotion at the time, so getting this for $64.99 + sales tax and free shipping was a pretty sweet bargain. I thought this was going to be exclusive to Best Buy, but now this can be purchased at shops like Tokyo Otaku Mode and BigBadToystore.

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/600/ChocolateSpider1488595675.jpeg

Click here for my review of this lovely statue.

Now it is time for the final item of March. I was going the have a Breath of The Wild related comic strip here next, but I actually have not played much of the game yet due to school and other matters. But I will post it independently from a loot post once I manage to get the right screen shots for it. Good things come to those who wait. But here is a teaser to the story arc. Twilight doggo is best doggo. (◕ヮ◕)

NOW! Prepare to see something so epic, so rare, so utterly beautiful, your ass will shoot straight off your body!

It's a miniature piano that was less than $8. (ᗒωᗕ)

Re-Ment Miniature Piano

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/600/ChocolateSpider1492310975.jpeg

I have been browsing around for some miniature props to use for photoshoots. I found this miniature piano for pre-order on AmiAmi, so I bundled it with some other small items I had on pre-order there.

This piano is the perfect size for Nendoroids, but a tad too small for 1/12 scale action figures.

Bonus Comic #13
Desperado

Rest in peace, Glenn Frey. (╥︣﹏᷅╥)

Epic Group Photo!

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/600/ChocolateSpider1492314394.jpeg

Another month, another great haul for my collection. I will be making a change of pace with my usual blogging after my April loot post. I am at a stage where I am needing to cut down on my figure purchases for a number of reasons. It is time for me to look over everything I own and purge all unneeded items from my home, there has been a slight cut in my monthly income, and I need to make some important non-collection related purchases.

After April's loot post, I will take a break from posting my monthly loot for two main reasons. I want to focus more on writing figure reviews and comic strips as I feel like I should be posting more than just two or three each month. More importantly, My remaining pre-orders for the next several months is 90% just a few Nendoroids an a couple of scales each month. So a loot post each month with just those might be too short for me to make entertaining to read. So I will combine all those months into 1 loot post featuring a massive army of Nendoroids and chibi shenanigans!

As for what will be in April's loot, here is a preview.

Transformers Masterpiece
Movie Megatron

1/7 Sansei Muramasa Maid

Deadpool Nendoroid

Super Sonico 10th Anniversary Art Book

See you all when I am back with a string of new figure reviews in a couple of days! This is ChocolateSpider signing out! *scurries away for a crunchy fly snack*

WanderingWastrel (1 ano atrás) #19944280Congrats on finishing the Snow Halation set. I'd get that one too if I only had the space for it.
Hmm... maybe I'll get it anyway and set them up in the closet. I'll know they're there, that's all that matters, yes, yes...

Makes sense to me. :3

Pixelated (1 ano atrás) #19933393I may be a pityful creature, but at least I'm not a monster who enjoys pineapple on pizza, and boops their figures . _.

So you do admit you are a monster that DOESN'T boop his figures? Ok. At least we know what kind of Monster you are. LOL. :P

jazzylin (1 ano atrás) #19932493I got so excited when i saw the spyro! Its my number one and first game ever! Now I really want that ps1 haha. Really nice loot, the Hinata is really really cute, shes one of the few female characters I tolerated from Naruto.

Mine was NiGHTS Into Dreams on the Sega Saturn, but I think Spyro: Enter the Dragonfly was the first game I ever played on a computer. Spyro is such a legend! :D
