Exclusive Seto Kaiba -Duel With Destiny- ver. 1/8 figureExclusive Seto Kaiba -Duel With Destiny- ver. 1/8 figure

solluxcaptorsolluxcaptor5 meses atrásReview
Something a little different today for a review! Usually I try to review newer figures while they're still relevant and people are possibly contemplating buying them or not. But this time I got a figure I was REALLY excited about and I know since it's an exclusive one that not many people own it and it's kind of hard to find information about. So I wanted to make my own review! :D (And also show off how glorious he is hehe)
Of course I'm talking about the one and only Kaiba Seto from Yu-Gi-Oh!, Kotobukiya's ArtFX J Exclusive Duel with Destiny version.

First off the video version... I tried out something a little different this time! I wanted to make an unboxing video and a showcase video but I figured that it would be kind of pointless to make two and merged them. If you want to watch the unboxing/video review part then you can watch from the start, just skip to 1:52 if you only want to watch the showcase! I hope this is ok as a format, I'll probably still be doing showcase only for the most part but I wanted to try this :D

(Full screen it if you can because the embedded video is tiny!)
I'm slowly becoming a little bit more comfortable talking to the camera... ;;

I'll start with some photos of the box!
https://s17.postimg.org/v6vf19fcf/DSCF3297.jpg
The front has a big window on it so you can see all of Kaiba with the optional Duel Disk piece, you can also see a matching picture of Kaiba himself and some text about the figure including that it is the exclusive Duel with Destiny version. On the side and back there are two windows, one is simply a circle (not pictured) and the other on the back is quite interesting, it resembles the dragon wing of a Blue Eyes White Dragon! And finally there is a side with a very eye catching design and picture of the figure itself on it, I would actually display the box to show this side because it is so nice to look at.

https://s17.postimg.org/d42ca1427/DSCF3306.jpg
Inside comes these instructions on how to replace the regular arm with the Duel Disk arm! It's a simple process but I always appreciate some instructions with interchangeable pieces, sadly the ones that don't include them are usually the ones that need them... I had fears that the arm would be hard to switch out but it was VERY simple and easy to do!

https://s17.postimg.org/ydpykvs2n/solluxcaptor1508446591.jpg
Here he is in full, I really do think he is amazing and I am so happy to own this exclusive version *____* Everything is absolutely superb and impressive - the confident pose and expression, his glorious flowing coat, the overall sculpt and the paint which gives a shiny effect on his coat.

https://s17.postimg.org/lz36kj5pb/DSCF3235.jpg
From behind you can really see the shiny paint effect on the coat! It really makes him stand out but it's not too distracting since it's only the coat. So luxurious looking and his permanently flowing coat looks as impressive as ever. From this angle you can also see that the cards in his hand have print on them.

https://s17.postimg.org/is8n0wdjj/DSCF322.jpg
And a close up on his amazing face, of course! Isn't he just perfect?
I love the facial expression he has in this version. As much as I love the glaring expression in the regular version, this one is just so full of life and classic Kaiba. You can practically hear his laugh through the figure and the emotion really adds to the feeling of this moment being taken straight from a duel in progress.

https://s17.postimg.org/wlwzpzo5b/DSCF3275.jpg
Looking at the small details a bit, every little detail was captured excellently down to the KC emblem on his coat and the duel disk itself is especially impressive. So many small details on it like the life point counter, it looks amazing!

https://s17.postimg.org/5bboiay5r/DSCF3270.jpg
The base is simple but effective. It matches with both the exclusive and non-exclusive figures in this set (besides the Egypt versions) so you can pair any of them together. There are so many combinations for setting up duel situations with these figures, I really like how the matching bases enable this effectively.

https://s17.postimg.org/85etvhktr/DSCF3254.jpg
In conclusion, I am absolutely happy with this figure! This exclusive version was one of my must haves in my wishlist and I was lucky to find one for a good price, it can be pretty pricey in aftermarket but I think it is worth every penny. Kaiba is a really important character to me and this is definitely an amazing addition to my collection.
I'm going to collect the whole set and I feared the exclusives would be near impossible to get ahold of so I'm happy to have the one I really wanted already. Please let me know if you enjoyed this review! I would really appreciate feedback because I'm always trying to improve my reviews, let me know if you prefer reviews of new figures or older ones or both.

solluxcaptor (12 dias atrás) #32380888Is it too late for me to get back to you on this? I'm enjoying this conversation greatly but university has been keeping me so busy I kept telling myself I'd answer another time, and look how late it's gotten, I feel terrible ><
Yeah I'm really happy with the plush work they did for me, I did want to commission them again for Duelist Kingdom Kaiba but it seems like they're not taking commissions right now ;; Oooh those shoes are so cool, I admit Yugioh for sure has given me an appreciation for studs and belts on shoes :P Also looks like this site is related to another site I bought a t-shirt from the other day? www.emp.co.uk/p... It is still on sale along with another Yugi one if you're interested! :D Hats are a good idea ahaha, I can put a party hat on him for his birthday! I do want to make a birthday celebration shrine afterall.
Yep, cosplay stops being fun when it starts feeling like a job or obligation... that's why I took a break but now I think I'm ready to approach it just for me with a healthy mindset :D I mostly have solo plans but I do have one plan with a friend that I'm going to cosplay Duelist Kingdom Yugi (That wig... I'm in pain already...) and she's going to cosplay Pegasus. We didn't set a convention so it doesn't feel like I have a 'deadline' so that's a good feeling!
I really love the season 0 stuff in the manga so I'm excited to watch that series when I have free time hehe, finally when I'm free from uni I'll be able to watch it! Yeah I actually want the western Kaiba releases actually ahaha you might think they are just junk but they actually cost a lot when you want to ship them to UK since all the sellers are in the US... those shipping costs are NOT friendly ;-; So for me they're kind of valuable! I'd like to get stuff like the Blue Eyes toys too.
Yesss that's the Kaiba dakimakura that is my grail omg *___* Good luck to us both!
I wish I could have been there at the height of it even for the cringe, cause honestly I just find it endearing when I see videos and stuff of fans enjoying themselves even with a bit of cringe from back in the day :P Its really sweet and heartwarming in it's own way! I bet it was fun to experience. But I know that feeling cause I definitely look back like that on some of my own past fandom experiences ahaha (thinking of peak Hetalia days and cringing) ;; You should do it! I always kind of wanted to cosplay Rebecca myself actually, but I'd rather do the version from her first appearance :D

Haha, it's never too late to reply to a message! :D I hope you're doing well!

Aah, I'm sure they'll open up for commissions soon again! Most commissioners on the internet are people that still have a job next to it, so they are also pretty busy! And haha I know man, I absolutely adore the biker/dark look most of the characters have, Yuugi aways walking around with a choker when he's wearing his school uniform lmao.

Oh no why did you link me that t-shirt now I want one too! D: Hrhrngngfnfff. I'lll wait unti the next time I order from EMP. I buy way too much stuff there. >.< And please do make pictures if you put funy accessories on Seto! There is another user here with a life-size cutout of a Touken Ranbu character and she dresses him up in all sorts of things, it's hilarious! Man, I am so limited with my floorspace here, I'll keep it to wallscrolls and daki's of my fave characters. xD

It's really nice that you have one friend that is also hugely into YGO (the one you also did the matching itabags with)? :) I'm happy my husband really likes the card game, so we can talk about that a lot, but he is not really into cosplay or merchandise. Although he thinks these ITEM #411317 are hiarious, so I do hope to find them someday as a gift. :)

I hope you share some pictures of your finished Yuugi boy and Pegasus! :D And good luck on the wig indeed, damn! But it looks like a super interesting adventure to make one like that!

Hehe, I got quite some Yu-Gi-Oh! 'junk' too. Mostly tried to buy them from yard sales, local Craigslist-like sites etc., because otherwise I would have the same as you and pay huge amounts of shipping from the USA to here for what is actualy pretty low quality toys. :P For you I understand that you want everything Kaiba/Blue Eyes, but my collection is not necessarily character-oriented, so it just feels a bit random. :/ I got lots of small ones such as ITEM #278354 ITEM #174341 etc., where I think I will display the ones related to certain characters together with their Koto scaleds. Then some bigger stuff such as ITEM #57716 I think I won't display at all (but maybe has better re-sale value?) because their big size makes them stand out, but there are no good details to look at. You know, I have quite some old/undetailed figures that I love, but with YGO, there is just so much that I don't have this 'gotta collect 'em all', which I do have with other franchises (such as Baccano! and Chrono Crusade). :P And finaly we have the biggest worst buy of them all: The NECA set (some examples: ITEM #253350 & ITEM #253279 ). The idea for them is nice, but their quality is horrible and I way overpaid for them from an US seller thinking their quality would be OK (I have super nicely detailed NECA figures from Bioshock, Assassin's Creed etc., but apparently their anime licenses don't get that same amount of love), LOOK AT THIS: PICTURE #1384891 . Even if it was a children's toy, this would be not acceptable! I'm thinking of maybe display the unique characters, such as Summoned Skull, but the other ones that already have figures (such as Black Magician), yeah...I'm not really sure why I should keep it in my collection. I'm just crying over the amount of money I lost on these. TT^TT I never unboxed them in the 3+ years that I own them...

I'm sort-of lucky that Youtube wasn't that popular back then, but I wouldn't be surprised if there's still some video's out there of our YGO gang back then doing cringy stuff lol. Especially when TAS was just new, everybody would re-enact those scenes...I just start cringing thinking back of it... xD But I indeed had lots of fun with very nice people! And oh wow, I had friends back then that were at Hetalia's peak and yeah...where do I even start. xD

Aaah! A Rebecca cospay would be so cute! <3 Don't forget the teddy! The best part of that outfit imo! :D

Maakie (1 mês atrás) #31314880Haha, that is why I always reply on my e-mails from the messages I get here, I really don't trust the subscriptions and notifications here at MFC. :P I just had a convention last weekend and it was a lot of fun re-wearing my Sanya cosplay and coming up with new make-up and a new hairdo for a J-Fashion coord I put together a while ago. ^^
Ooh, I know that seller! And I know some people that bought from there and were very happy with the result. I like how the artist makes the face decals. :) As for shoes, just yesterdat I came across these www.large.nl/p/... , which seem like a toned-down version of what Yuugi wears and I am now very tempted to buy, haha! But you can at least give Seto's cutout hats and such, no? :D
A lot of people really deep in the cosplay hobby act like it's a second job where they have to rush to make a lot of costumes and please a lot of people and groups. That's where it stops being a hobby imo. ^^'' I just cosplay for myself. :P I do hope that one day I can find a trustworthy cosplay partner with likewise tastes to do at least some duo cosplays every now and then. I do miss doing stuff in groups sometimes...it was so much fun getting together!
Most of my decks are digitally in games, mainly on the PSP and DS I have big extensive digital libraries. Considering these systems are 'outdated', it's hard to battle with them, haha! So I should really pick up the mobile game... but I also recently finally started playing Pokémon Sun which is also a lot of fun! Too much games, not enough time! D:
Season 0 is quite a short series, only 24 episodes of regular JP tv-length. It's the shortest of all YGO series, haha! And even though I love season 0, I'm quite glad that they started making DM instead of continuing where season 0 ended. :')
And yes I ALSO LOVE THE MOVIE SO MUCH. I just expected it to be a nicely animated filler story, but holy shit it was actually good and canon and it added more story to the DM timeline and HKDFHDKFHKDFS. Loved it. Also loved how Seto just kept on creating new Blue Eyes versions every time he got to draw some cards. :')
Oh dang, you even want the super ugly western-market Kaiba shit such as ITEM #20115 ? When I was at my peak of collecting YGO merchandise, I bought so much uggo Mattel and other Western manufacturers YGO-related shit which I regret so much having bought now... Considering they are barely worth scrap I guess I'll just hold on to them for completions' sake instead of reselling...
You mean ITEM #520989 ? I love how his outfit looks on there. Those pants! *drool* And about my CD grail...well, yeah that's what I'm hoping for. To see it one day for like 7-8K (which is still a huge amount for a CD imo :P ) and snag it as fast as I can!
YGO in it's height over here meant a lot of meme cosplay, a lot of abridged-series references and also a lot of people randomly bursting out in singing. It was very cringe, but everyone was in fancy outfits doing so. :') Most of the pictures of our meetups where just random pics of us hanging out and no real fancy photoshoots as you see cosplayers have nowadays. So I barely have any of that stuff online, just hidden in cringe folders on my computer which I am now very tempted to look up, but I shouldn't. xD
Oh dang, it's already hard over here to find people wanting to cosplay main characters from YGO in this day and age, let alone finding people for cosplay from this arc almost everyone forgets about. xD And yes, I would 100% only cosplay him with the duel disk, because otherwise I would just look like random background character #32. :')

solluxcaptor (1 mês atrás) #31252870Oh my, sorry for my late response myself, I cleared my inbox without remembering that this message was in there ><;; I hope your conventions are going/went well if they already passed :D I know that feeling, I haven't been to a convention in a while but the pre-convention crunch is REAL. ;;
I will for sure put pics of the commissioned plush in my next blog, they are really cute! I got them done here if you are interested :D www.etsy.com/uk... They will do any character that is human I think but they specialise in Yugioh, I'm really happy with the quality of the plush I got! :D And thank you for the compliments, I do love that shirt and the shoes I definitely bought because they reminded me of Yugi's! As for dressing the cutout up, I would love to but I think you need to have one where the arms are a seperate piece for it to really work, since Kaiba is crossing his arms it might look a bit odd :( And thank you for the tip about Hobby Link, unfortunately it seems I missed some stuff ;-; but those are some really great finds!
That's completely understandable, I think cosplay is more fun when you learn to take it easy, I really was getting so stressed out from holding myself to obligations and expectations. Especially with groups/pair cosplays, the thought of not completing in time or having a mediocre cosplay and disappointing the other people was KILLER ;-; That was really a big source of stress of me ><;; I think you are taking a smart approach to it! Groups/pairs can be really fun but the pressure to preform becomes so much higher.
I think that's really cool though, I would love to see your decks or even to duel some day (somehow), I'm having a lot of fun with the card game myself :D I've only seen a few clips of season 0 admittedly but I really loved what I saw ahaha so I've gotta find the time to watch the whole thing! I do indeed plan to watch all of the series, just slow but steady progress ><;; and yes I did see the new movie omg and I LOVE IT!! I think I've watched Kaiba's speech part about 1000 times over. Personally I quit Love Live but I think Duel Links is a really fun game, you don't have to play it all the time to get the currency either since they are quite generous (every time a new box comes out you get 500 free gems so you can open 10 packs, and sometimes there are a lot of events with freebies etc) so I would really recommend it even if its just for casual play :D
Oh no I'm sorry omg I knew you were the Noah but I must have made a silly error, sorry if I called you Mokuba by mistake! I feel embarrassed now ;; I was just thinking about Mokuba from our earlier messages :P You both did a great job though, for sure :D
To be honest I don't think I have a SPECIFIC impossible Yugioh grail but I am super seriously trying to collect every existing piece of Kaiba merchandise... there are some that are really rare to find, just random stuff like pins and phone straps that elude me ahaha. Right now I'm really trying to get that official dakimakura, I just can't believe that even got licensed and made ahaha ;; I already have the matching alarm clock! I want to make a blog about it soon :D I've always wanted to own the soundtracks myself but I have seen some of the prices can be really high ><; Good luck with getting it!! You never know, there might be a good deal some time!
Honestly I think the cosplay scene in general back then is nostalgic yet slightly cringe to look back on in ways, but I think I would happily go back to it. I'd love to have seen the YGO fanbase at it's height in anime cons :P Oooh yes that would be a really cool cosplay omg, maybe you could get a little group together for that arc to help make it more obvious to people? The Duel Disk would definitely help though, at least.

Haha, that is why I always reply on my e-mails from the messages I get here, I really don't trust the subscriptions and notifications here at MFC. :P I just had a convention last weekend and it was a lot of fun re-wearing my Sanya cosplay and coming up with new make-up and a new hairdo for a J-Fashion coord I put together a while ago. ^^

Maakie (2 meses atrás) #31146270Lol, don't apologise for taking 5 days to respond, this one took me 6 lol. Got very busy with conventions and preparing for them. :) I did manage to close in a little bit on my blog-backlog lol.
Oooh! Cute! :D Be sure to share pictures of your commissioned plush! :3
Oh, that's a nice shirt! And dang, those shoes! They will look good with any Seto or Yuugi coord. :) Also lol at the tiny heart hands, haha! I'm pretty sure if I had a cut-out, I would dress him up in stupid stuff, haha!
I btw just ordered 4 new YGO goods (of which 2 Seto-related): ITEM #455939 , ITEM #455941 , ITEM #457896 and ITEM #510662 . They were all 50% off at Hobby Search, so if you're missing any of these for your collection, grab your chance! :D
I changed from doing a lot of outfits together with friends to doing most of it solo nowadays. Doing it solo takes away a lot of the stress, because if I don't manage to finish something 'on time'. It's no problem. I just start on making a costume and start wearing it when it's done. Never have deadlines anymore. :) Only thing is that it results in only 1-2 new cosplays each year which is a 'low' amount compared to other cosplayers. I don't mind re-wearing outfits or doing 1 or 2 days an J-Fashion coord at a con. So I'm pretty happy with it. :) Only downside for me is that I have too many ideas for the amount of time I have! But even when I would have more time, it would probably be too expensive to do all of the stuff!
Haha, most of them are quite generic, but they are based on the mostly high-ATK decks I play. :) OH NO YOU SHOULD DEFINITELY WATCH SEASON 0 ASAP. It's super cheesy, but has a special place in my heart. It's hilarious to see the beginning phase and see how much they changed later on. :) Mokuba is quite an asshole there instead of a supporttive little brother and Seto is a Noah-Seto mix in looks and personality, where they later 'seperated' him for 2 different characters in DM. :P Are you planning on watching all YGO series btw? And did you watch the newest movie yet? I absolutely love the latest movie, omg, but will wait for your reply before I ramble 10.000 spoilers.
I tried to download Duel Links when it was just released, but my device back then was too crappy and it could not run it smoothly. D: Shortly after that I bought a 3DS so I barely do any mobile gaming anymore. But I hear good stuff about Duel Links and I also sort of DO and DON'T want to pick up Love Live again lol.!
Lol, I am not the Mokuba, I am the Noah. xD Looking back I would say my own Noah is mediocre. Not bad, but so much could have been better. I only have pictures on the internet from the moment on when I was ~mediocre~ instead of the super crappy stuff I used to wear when I started. Lol, very shitty China shiny costumes and very badly made own costumes that would fall apart during the day while wearing it. xD Anyway, I am glad you enjoyed our skit! :D It's also the last time ever that I did a group skit at a con. Since then I have only done a few solo skits.
Btw, do you have any impossible YGO grails? I for example would love to own ITEM #185693 because it has music from my favorite part of the anime series, but holy fuck that aftermarket price.
Thinking back about YGO prime can be quite cringy, especially when YGOTAS became super popular and meetups and skits were nothing but references to those video's, oh man. :') Also very shitty shipping photoshop-pictures cosplayers would make. xD I actually still am friends with quite a lot of people from the YGO fandom from back then, they just moved on from cosplaying YGO and they cringe just as hard as me when thinking back about the stuff some of them or all of us did. :P I do hope to get some group together again (be it the old people, new people or a mix). I have so many other characters from YGO I want to cosplay! But considering I have a weird taste for niche characters with dramatic backstory I really want to cosplay...
https://vignette.wikia.nocookie.net/yugioh/images/b/b4/DM_192_Fire_Princess_error.png
...Leon next when it comes to cosplays from the YGO franchise! But I am sure even less people will know who the fuck I am supposed to be, haha!

The Duel Disk would definitely help though, at least.

solluxcaptor (2 meses atrás) #31075137Apologises for my lateness to respond, life has gotten me quite busy at times aswell so I understand your feeling completely! It can be so difficult to fall behind on things before you realise ><;;
Ahhh that's a really cute idea! ;-; I actually commissioned two Kaiba plushies aswell, so I could walk around with the whole bunch under my arm :P
Those t-shirts are amazing!! I hope I can get more YGO related shirts myself, the only one that I own is in this picture PICTURE #1918303 and I love it so so much! I'd really love to see your full ita outfit when you do one, I definitely plan on creating a more extravagant one for myself eventually, I already have ideas on how to make it really extra :P Aaah I can imagine making those leggings would be so difficult by hand ;; Cosplayer woes, eh? I only recently got back into doing it myself as I took a little break, the stress of working on costumes constantly was getting to me and it no longer felt like a fun hobby, but I do miss it so I'm going to start again but slowly and comfortably.
Your card choices are so cool! There are so many cards to love honestly I have appreciation for them all :D I haven't actually seen season 0 yet except some clips ;-; But I'm really looking forward to watch it when I do!! I'm currently watching GX and personally I like it :D By the way, if you prefer old school Yugioh, have you played Duel Links? Right now the game has DM and GX but you can just focus on DM if you want and all the playstyle right now is old school style, fusion and ritual summoning only, it's really fun!
I completely know that feeling, sometimes looking back on my old costumes is like NOOOOO especially when I realise how many people probably saw that really mediocre thing I made ;; But I think your Mokuba cosplay is really amazing! Ahhh I think I'd die if I was asked for a spontaneous interview ahaha but I'm still really impressed by your confidence, honestly, it was really well done! I enjoyed it :D
I'm very happy to meet someone else who appreciates the Virtual Reality arc, especially as much as you do! And the dog card is such a great idea, I love that card art! Honestly I love season 4 but I love all the seasons ahaha there's not a single part I feel anything less than lots of love towards ;; Just some parts I like a bit more :P
Aw man I'm jealous, I'm often kinda sad that I missed out on Yugioh in it's prime and now most of the fans have left or moved on ;-;

Lol, don't apologise for taking 5 days to respond, this one took me 6 lol.

Maakie (2 meses atrás) #31071381Yeah, I am also getting a bit better in reading the backlogged blogs, but it's just so much. X_X I don't want to make any new blogs myself until I have read everything from the backlog, so yeah, you can expect my own blog to be dead for even longer lol.
You can also keep the Seto plush out of the bag and just hold him while walking at cons? Or make a necklace or hair decoration out of it to incorporate it with your outfit? :3
And wow, saved with the speed of light! That artist has so many great looking designs also for lots of other anime, wow wow! When I win the lottery I can already order all the YGO ones for all the future itabags I want to make, lol! Although I have recently been 'hunting' more YGO apparel and managed to get these: ITEM #655778 & ITEM #629958 Which would also go well with their itabags (when I get to them lol). This is a long-term idea, but I will share the stuff I make/buy online of course! :D
Also saw that Etsy seller having www.etsy.com/li... ...that would have saved me tons of work, irritation and money if I had known this while I was making that cosplay..!! >.< It was probably the hardest part to paint my own leggings!
Lol, YGO has indeed also a lot of monsters that look very generic. I mean, I like Elf Swordsman for example, but it's just a buff elf that looks maybe a bit too much like Link. :'D Most of my favorite TCG monsters (not/barely shown in the anime) are the high ATK low level monsters, such as Dark Blade, Giant Red Seasnake, 7 Colored Fish, Nin-Ken Dog...I can go on...really generic designs that if it wasn't for their good use in the game, I wouldn't remember their names. :'D
Do you also like other YGO anime except for DM? I'm a huge fan of season 0, but all the spin-offs with other characters...*sigh* I've tried GX, Zexal, 5D's etc...but they just...don't get to me like DM. Also the card game just gets way more weirder the deeper you get into those series. :')
Thanks for liking it. TT^TT As a cosplayer, it's mostly cringey to look back on older costumes you always see things you would have done differently if you has the knowledge of now back then, but the reason I keep pics online is because they also come with good memories. :) I did my best to portray Noah the best I could, so I'm glad you enjoyed! ^^ Although I loved being Noah a lot, barely people recognized me, even at YGO meets 50% just thought I was Weevil/Haga missing details. >.< Haha, a lot of people were taken back by the fact that we started singing people even laughed when Seto started,noooooo. I never really had stage fright myself, because I always could take a lot of time to practice whatever I was going to do on the stage. I only had stage fright when one time at a cosplay compo there suddenly was an (unannounced) 'in character interview' on stage, welp. When I can't practice/prepare something I get super nervous.
I just loved everything from that arc so much, because I quickly connected with Noah's backstory, it was done so well. And the end of Noah (or well...his second end I guess) is so sad. :( When I was cosplaying Noah, I was always wearing this card in my duel disk: vignette.wikia.... It's not the same dog as he has in the anime, but it is the closest card to it. xD
I think every YGODM fan can agree that season 4 is the worst, lol. I also have as a 'second worst place' season 1, but that could be because the whole Pegasus arc is just the series taking off and the card rules being not as clear as later on in the series. I still don't think it's a bad arc, though. :P
Man, it's been so long since I could ramble about YGODM with someone, haha! The YGO(DM) local fandom died out after 2010 or so. Not even the new movies/series could get it back together again. Cosplaying at cons from YGO(DM) was amazing in 2005-2010 era. xD

Thank you so much for the kind comments on my bag, I tried my best with it! :D Actually my second bag will be a larger one so maybe he will fit in there, if not I guess he just comes inside for travels ahaha. ;; The dress is a fan design from here! www.etsy.com/uk... There's a few character designs and a long sleeve version too, I went with the sleeveless so I could layer a proper turtleneck under there and I think it works nicely :D Oooh I would love to see a matching outfit omg, I like doing anime character inspired outfits in general, if you were doing Mokuba I think his regular outfit could pass enough as normal clothes ahaha or a least taking elements from it! :D Would be cool to have the Kaiba's necklace too *_* I really look forward to seeing what you do, I hope you'll share it with me!
Those are some good choices!! :D To be honest the main monsters I like best are SO GENERIC lol but I have my reasons, I love Blue Eyes (Kaiba's main monster and his pride of course I have to love BEWD), Dark Magician (mostly because I run this deck in real life and I feel like I bonded with the card a LOT. He was one of the first cards I ever got too, way before I got a BEWD) and Kuriboh (just too cute!!). As for less popular or even TCG-only monsters I really love Mahad card version (From the movie. Does it count since he's also a regular character?? lol but I love his card in my DM deck too, he's so cool) and Chocolate Magician Girl who sadly never got animated ;; And I love Winged Kuriboh/all Kuriboh variants. There's so many good cards that it's really a hard choice!! ;;
omg your cosplay performance is really impressive, actually! I wouldn't say cringe at all, a lot of old skits probably aged a bit to be embarrassing but yours is really good and I'd still be impressed seeing it today. I wasn't expecting it to turn into a musical style at all ahaha, it was really great and you play the character so well!! I'm impressed at your confidence too, I've only ever been on stage to do a walk on and pose and I was so nervous ><;;
Yes the arc is amazing for all Kaiba brother fans, I loved how the whole thing was basically going through their backstory and I genuinely enjoyed the format/duels even though I know a lot of people complain about them. And the duel with Noah is so amazing and emotional!!! ;-; I really liked Noahs character too, even if he was technically the villain of the arc in the end it makes you feel bad for him being left alone again :( I don't know what I'd call my top favourites because I enjoy ALL of the series so much but probably the whole chunk of Battle City and Virtual World arc is just my favourite. Egyptian Memory arc was so cool too though. :D

What are your other favorite monsters? For me, the more general ones like Red Eyes Black Dragon and the (male lol) Black Magician I like a lot. But I also like Summoned Skull and Gate Guardian a lot. Luckily those have teeny-tiny bits of merchandise.
Haha, thanks! Glad you appreciated it! Back then it was so...mixed response lol. I had 1 good friend to be my Mokuba (also seen in the pictures) and we had one slightly-flakey guy being our Seto (he did show up for practicing and doing a small cosplay act, but he flaked out with the photoshoot unfortunately never saw him since then :P). That being said, you maybe like seeing our act (it's pretty cringy looking back all those years later, but no regrets doing it):

Check out that retro video quality, omg
My favorite arc is a tight race between the Virtual World and the Ancient Egypt one. Next to Noah Kaiba, I just liked in general learning more about the Kaiba family. I mean, it's hinted that their dad is an asshole and that they are adopted, but until that point there are no actual extensive explanations to everything. So it's a good arc for every Kaiba-fan, no matter which brother. :) I personally did not mind the small break with the Battle City, but I do hate the small plothole where Malik just walks around and does shit in/on/around the blimp while the more main people in the cast are just gone. Like wtf, why hasn't Malik killed every one in 0,01 seconds the moment he noticed he was not getting hold back? And then the main cast comes back and acts like nothing has happened. :')

Oh wow, do you have pics of your friend with the Blue Eyes bag? :D Don't get too excited about my Mokuba one btw, because I won't have time/money for it for a long while from now. >.<
Oooh! Me too. <3 Absolutely adored Noah Kaiba from the moment I saw him. I also cosplayed him like 8+ years ago lol: www.cosplay.com... . Not many people care about Noah, it makes me sad. It was a really good arc, but it's timing was pretty bad because people just wanted to see the follow up from the battle blimp lol.
