Does GSC still replace broken figures parts?Does GSC still replace broken figures parts?Ask MFC

Hello, quick question!

Some years ago (around 2013) i broke one of my figure’s joints and, after contacting GoodSmile Company, they shipped me the new parts for free.

Anyone knows if they still do this?

Unfortunately all the joints of this nendoroid ITEM #21435 broke, some of them I already had to glue together years ago, but now the plastic literally crumbled into tiny pieces :c
Alternatively, where can i buy spare joints? I know it’s an old figure, but i suppose “modern” joints would still fit

Thanks in advance!

Yes, but the figure has to be less than a year old. Recently asked for a replacement part, and it was received after proving that the figure was bought from their online store.

Auri1 ano atrás#64727124Too old. Now they only replace recent releases, atleast on the same year of release. I'd suggest trying to buy joints for dolls, just check the sizing, I bought some in white myself on HLJ. They might be a bit loose, but still better than nothing. You can buy packs with different sizes and they don't cost much.
These are the ones I bought hlj.com/obitsu-... I used the smallest size for a nendoroid.

GerardHaZ1 ano atrás#64727728Yes, they do, but I don't think this is the case because that nendoroid is old. I asked for a replacement for ITEM #327295, which was released on 2016, and they told me that there were no longer replacements for it, so I don't think they'll have for one from 2010.
Yeah I know this figure is very old, but since the part to replace are joints, which are exacly the same of recent figures, I thought that maybe they would replace them :\
I could still give it a try and email them, now that I know that they still replace damaged parts. At most they'll tell me "no".
I will consider those joints from hlj too, thank you for the link!

EternalTune1 ano atrás#64740600I assume you are talking about the neck joints of the faceplates?
If that's the case, just check out the buying and selling nendoroid group on facebook. There are people always doing splits. Please there is this site: chibichopshop.c....
She does a lot of splits and I have bought from her countless times. She has neck joints for sale in various skin tones.
Neck and legs joints (which are shorter)
That's very useful thank you so much for the link!

Yes, GSC still does replacement support. The time window is shorter. I used to think a year, but now I feel it's shorter, like half a year. But if you're in the window, it's usually really good.

But regardless there's no point to ask about a 2010 Nendo. They won't provide any support for something that old.

You're better off finding a new one or hunting for replacement joints as others have suggested.

as long as they have replacement parts available they will. a figure long no longer in production might be a tall order.

ZoidsFanatic21 ano atrás#64729782Typically a GSC warranty will be one year since the figures release and if you buy it new from one of selected retailers. If it was pre-owned or over a year old, you’re shit out of luck I’m afraid.

Oddly, a friend of mine bought a ITEM #675877 used off Amiami about a month after release and had the staff break. I told him to get in contact with GSC on the off-chance that they might be willing to replace it and sure enough, they actually did with no questions except to see a receipt proving he'd bought it and from where.
