You know MFC one of the main reasons I have stepped away from collecting a lot of Anime is that honestly it got to where it was too hard to keep up with a lot of the series I liked to collect and with new figures that used to get my interest enough for me to keep them in the wishlist to older figures that caught my eye that would be put into the wishlist I just wonder how you folks manage to keep up with everything.
It's nice not to have a Wishlist and things on Order so down to just figuring out what to collect this year.
Right now my focus is on getting Manga but now finding just not sure how to go about looking for a lot of Manga and sticking to a small amount of series to collect but after sitting and looking at the shelves here I can't absorb another Manga Collection into the current collection because the series I want to get have a LOT of Volumes in them and it's making me look at things a bit closer now and reassessing just how much to focus on getting.
One of the main series I really want to get is Danmachi/Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? Manga and between that and looking into the Quintessential Quintuplets Manga and the Worlds End Harem Manga feels like there's no space for that many Manga volumes.
I need to get Danmachi since I need more Hestia.

I want to get Manga of my fav Series so may end up focusing on getting half of the Danmachi Manga series next month.
-Two series I Want to get have at least 10+ Volumes each in them so that's had me rethinking getting Manga this weekend and looking at what other series I want they have lots of Volumes so feels like I have got to be very selective with what Manga to get this year.
The Hobby isn't a problem to me at this point, it's just there are times it feels like there's still a lot to look at and far too easy to get get sucked back into it and thank goodness just looking around this collection makes it an easy question
"Got space for what you want to get?"
Looks around
Nope
Move On
Still I honestly am at that point that I'd love to get a few more things but after getting just a few Manga in this past month finding that I don't have the room for a Library of Manga so have to be selective with that.
Feels like between Action Figures, Anime Figures, Manga, DVDs and anything else one wants to collect being Selective is the only way to keep things from becoming a problem this year.
-Just got the First 3 Volumes of the World's End Harem Series so will be a while before those get in and next month will try to get the rest that I can and hoping that taking an approach where I get maybe the first 3 Volumes of a series that I want to get and then get maybe 3 more Volumes of each series I'm interested in will get me caught up with getting that series instead of all at the same time cause Still finding it hard to find space for more Manga.
What about you?
Are you Selective with what you collect?
Do you have space for what you want to Collect?

Due to my selective behaviour for figure collecting, it has helped keep my figure count numbers low but they are still rising over the months and frankly I am very much out of space currently...
Not only that, but I also tend to limit myself to prize figures and other cheaper merch. Considering I’m taking a break from school for the semester, I can’t really afford to indulge in pricier figures right now.
My other rules are:
1. No scales unless they’re of a character’s default outfits. (I.e. only V2 through NT Miku) Sakura Miku is my only exception.
2. Any figure must be of either Miku or Luka (some exceptions apply for other vocal synths)
3. Any BJD must be Vocaloid related
4. No figmas/nendos unless already on my wish list
5. No one figure over $200 and no one BJD over $800
I’m trying to specialize my collection to only Miku and Luka with some Nezuko. Now that I’ve put limits in place, I can better collect within reason. Only issue now is that I’m broke… (-n-)
After starting off this hobby by getting anything that looked cool and affordable just to fill up my first Detolf shelf, I decided to take a step back and put some rules to help myself to not go out of control again :')
1. No duplicate characters, since I only have two detolf shelves and am not looking to get more at the moment.
2. No Nendoroids or Figmas, although this is more of a personal preference.
3. Must have watched/read/played the content from which the figurine comes from.
4. Must like the character
5. No impulse purchases, I really try and wait a few days at the very least to think about the figure and if I want it.
These rules have really helped me make less purchases, but in the end, said purchases have more meaning to me.
Now i'm playing this game of "what 2021 should have been" and work towards it by selling then buy.
The important part is I learned from it. I noticed the trend of how the boobas and thighs keep getting thicker while the character faces keep getting younger. It was fun while it lasted but I think I'm drawing the line at 2B and not crossing it to reach Ryza level.
Maybe stop at Ryza.

Why you ignore Orchid Seed?
