I am overflowing with love to the old figurines from Kotobukiya.
I have started collecting oldies with Hiyorigawa Asahi, which I had received by chance and without the box. However that made her one of the jewels in my collection.
Asahi is a mischievous girl from visual novel SNOW, which was published in January 31, 2003, but has not yet been translated into English. If someone wanted to get acquainted with the original, please cry. I have not found traces of translation, and I am not too happy, because I would like to play this games. Wikipedia stiffly says Asahi is a young girl suddenly appeared before protagonist, saying that she will "repulse the evil" from him. How intriguing, original and non-standard. *sarcasm mode on*

Sculpture and posing
Tsumezuka Hiroyuki is one of the few sculptors who are particularly in love with the original art. This figure is not the exception. Sculpture reflects in a very accurate way the original image. A lot of sculptors have a lot to learn from Hiroyuki, especially if we will pay the attention to the year of figure was released. Asahi has impressive dynamics, it seems that she will immediately run away, calling you along.

I have some questions to the painting to tell the truth. However, if we will make allowances because of the age of the figure, or if we will compare her with some modern figures from Kotobukiya, Asahi can be first by my opinion.
Or the second. :)
Of course, the figure lacks modern shading, but, but still you get a total feeling of viewing 2D image became 3D.
Photo-shooting showed almost no macro-seen artefacts, compared to today's figures GSC and Kotobukiya. Such a clear picture I have got only from Alter and Megahouse. Sometimes.

Asahi's base is very simple, this is a gray-white round one with a little island of snow. The main advantage of such bases - that they do not distract attention from the figure.
I should mention that such bases were quite typical for old figures, so, as for me I do not see any problem in having such a base.
I will be laconic, as usual. If you like old style in anime, if you like Tsumezuka Hiroyuki's style or you are just a big fan of Kotobukiya, you can surely buy Asahi. There will be no regrets. At least I have never regretted, and wanted to collect a complete set from the SNOW girls.
