Sakura Miku and GSC ReplacementsSakura Miku and GSC ReplacementsLoot

Well, I was a bit disappointed with the quality of my Sakura Miku, because she had some spots here and there, so I contacted GSC about replacements.

The package arrived the day before yesterday and I decided I'd write a blog about them.
The parts travelled to me about three weeks in a small box, safely packed in bubble wrap and all.

Miku is very excited about two parts: her right cherry hair pin which arrived broken and the new, unspotted skirt.

Here are some comparison pics of the old (on the left) and new parts (on the right).

1. Cherry pins. The difference is pretty obvious :3

2. The skirt. The original part had some nasty blue spots and was dirty inside.

3. The >_< face. It's not much visible on the pic, but the original part had a bruise and a scratch right on her forehead.

4. The right leg. The one I got had some black spots right in the front.

5. The flower headphone set. Mine were poorly painted, you can see that paint was too thick and sloppy on the small flowers. The replacements look so much better ^^

6. The back part of the alternative hair. I really do not get why GSC sent me this, but the paint of the left pin looks a bit better.

7. The fringe part had some strange stain right on the front, as if someone spilled coffee there.

8. The right hand and body part. The hand had the same blueish spot as the skirt and the leg, which looked like a bruise. My Miku sure arrived beaten.. I had no trouble with the body but it turned out the new hand will be too loose for the old one. So GSC even cares about possible loose fit, nice! :)

9. The ponytails. Mine were a bit rough on the inside so I didn't ask for a replacement (I could live with that), but GSC sent me both! The new ones are more smooth and the white shading looks a bit different, though. And it's always nice to have extra ponytails just in case. Again, thanks :3

Well, that's all about parts - I shall say I'm really happy I got the replacements! Miku looks happy, too.

Come on, Miku, put on your new skirt! :3

Good girl.

To sum it all up, it's always worth asking for a replacement if your figure didn't satisfy your expectations upon arrival!
GSC may be sloppy on QC lately but they are always generous when it comes to replacements ヽ(^。^)ノ

If you have some nice replacement experience, please, do not hesitate to share in the comments :)

That's about all for today, thanks for reading!

My Sakura Miku came with defects too postimg.org/gal..., the good part is that I mailed GSC and they offered replacements too (except for the feet, those weren't flawed according to GSC) but it is ok. Mine came with the strange stain thing below her skirt too, but as mine only has it under, I didn't complained about that. I've had different experiences with flawed nendoroid pieces and a good experience with GSC so far. Maybe I should make a blog about all of them too (it had been like 4 times already with this, I even felt weird having to mail them again @_@)

As for the neck joint I guess the best way is to borrow the joint from one of alternative heads.

Yeah, unfortunately, you have to use the ribbon fringe with the puella magi version. :<

LovelyIdiot7 anos atrás#1477483They don't replace things that were released over a year ago and now they don't replace for accidental damages, even if you're willing to pay. It sucks though because I opened my nendoroid Homura sch. version a few weeks ago, and found out the fringe with the ribbon wouldn't fit into the back hair piece and a neck joint was broken, but they couldn't help because the thing was officially released in February last year during Wonfest instead of when it was shipped out internationally.
Anyway, its great to hear that they're still replacing defective parts generously though.

Anyways, that's my first (and I hope the last) time I asked GSC for replacements of something that arrived defective. I did ask for new fringes (I was ready to pay!) for my damaged Madoka and Homura but to no avail...

I'm guessing it's just the pictures, but I honestly couldn't notice most of the issues you were trying to highlight.

Wow. I don't even know how blue would have gotten on her. GSC. STOP IT.

I consider myself very lucky that mine doesn't have any defects, at least that I could see when switching parts and setting her up.

I'm not sure if you've read my Sayaka debacle BLOG #4999, but I feel that GSC has it worst off for scale replacements because if the issue is the main body, then they have to send another body, sans accessories, compared to Nendo parts. I'm glad that you got your replacements tho. I completely agree that for an exclusive, GSC should have a better QC, so there's really no excuse. Love the pics, btw. I particularly like the green beads as it greatly contrasts with the pinkness that is Miku.

Wow. It's possible that the defects are more obvious in person than in the pictures, but the pictures mostly fall within my definition of "fine". I've only ever contacted GSC when parts of my figures were physically broken.

I s'pose I've been lucky with the paint jobs. I know my Sakura Miku arrived flawless.
