Comentários Hikoujouki Prize Figure review

  • That's really nice quality and I'm amazed at the details on the bottom of her too! :) I hope to buy this one in a while, even though I'm not actively hunting her currently.

Also, linked to the club! (wink, nudge)

Thank you for the link :)

mickeydeerho4 anos atrás#4548224I'm really into prize figures as well and this is a pretty cool "boat girls" figure. I should watch the anime so I can start my own collection.
And I really like the lighting you used for the photos. If I am going to do more of my figure rants, I really need better lighting.

Here's the secret to my lighting on this one because I don't have a good camera. It's a simple Cannon Power Shot A4000 IS digital camera. Nothing fancy or highend.

Sooo....What I did this time to try and make up for the camera was this. I bought two pieces of white poster board. I taped them together length wise, overlapping about 1 inch. I sat those on my kitchen table and taped the edge closest to where the camera would be used down to the table. Then I took an item to be a backrest ( doesn't really matter what you use, in my case it was my "Lazy Susan" ) and propped up the other side up so that I had a neutral white background that starts out level and gently curves upward ( behind the subject to be photographed ). The lighting itself is just natural light coming through my windows and through the thin white curtains. No direct sunlight though..I waited until the sun was past that point.

As a matter of fact, I'm going to take a few pics of my simple set up and make a diary entrance under something like "Poor mans photo session set up" or something similar....

By "mechanical" though..what do you mean exactly? I hope I didn't give the impression she has moving parts. If I did, then I apologize because she has no parts that do so. When I first glanced at the instruction sheet, I thought very briefly that the jaws could be closed. That was until I realized the photo showed the figured tipped up on it's back to show where it needs to be rested on the little clear block provided.
