    Nippon Yasan, huh... I once got an opened and "resealed" box and nothing happened.

    Wouldn't hope too much. :/

    Edit: Forgot - it was declared as a brand new one.

But as for what I did I slightly made a cut on the coating using a cutter knife and gently took the tape out with a tooth pick and scraped off the small bits of it after using the toothpick lightly raped around a slightly wet tissue and dried it up with a hair dryer. But that said the coating on mine was bloated as the tape was somewhat rolled up into a ball so I was able to cut the coating without cutting the box itself and I'm not too sure if you'd want to make a visible cut on the box or not but hope this helps. Thanks for the suggestion, but I think even if I could remove it, it would leave a brown spot which is not much better. I contacted the seller and see what they can do. If I do not get a replacement, I simply put the box in my shelf so the side with the fly can not be seen, and if I sell the figure I put a barcode label or something over it.

    On the back of the box, it says "To oversea customers: Please contact the shop where you purchased for customer support".

    I feel you. It has happened to me twice, although the first time was a worldwide defect. I had bought a box of cards and out of all the cards, the rare special had a bug literally printed onto the image. Everyone who got that card had the same defect and there was no way of getting another copy with a clear image. Ever. I don't have the card anymore, but now when I see card galleries, there's the bug. I guess the best thing about that defect was it wasn't covering a face.

    The other time was better. I had ordered a set of Sailor Moon pens which came in a box. I was so excited to get them since they were an exclusive set. The packaging was meant to be a display type. As I checked the details over I flipped out when I saw among the pretty sparkles, laminated right on the side, a beefy fly. Seriously, it was about half an inch big and really melded with the dark color of the box so I didn't notice it right away. Majorly grody.

    My saving grace was I had coincidentally gotten a double in the same package so I was able to have a non-fly version of the set. I was going to sell the duplicate anyway but it was just confounding to think I'd have to sell something with a defect so gross. Thank heavens I was able to.

    I would definitely be annoyed and grossed out if it happened to me, it would make me want to throw the box away which is a shame for a new box, they might let you exchange it but I doubt they would give you a refund or an extra new one sadly. You can at least try though.
