willyg1982 (1 ano atrás) #28502363I'm not sure me looking at this post while I'm hungry is a good idea. Lots a great snacks you shared for this post. As for me, I should eat something. Thanks for sharing.

Hehe, that is not recommendable. ;) Thanks for liking it! I also just now uploaded the first more extensive review BLOG #35225 from the food shown here! ^^

IntoOpenWaters (1 ano atrás) #28362987Nice loot! Those snacks look yummy!
Are sticking your stickers directly onto your refrigerator? I highly recommend making them into magnets! Ever since I saw another MFC blog post where someone salvaged laptop stickers by making them into magnets, I've been doing it with every sticker I care about. The major benefit is that if your refrigerator breaks down and you have to replace it (or even if you upgrade), you can take the stickers/magnets off and put them on the new one! You can get sheets of magnets off Amazon. The best part is that there is a sticky side to the magnet sheets, so you can easily turn non-stickers into magnets as well. I've used it for buttons, con badges, and all sorts of flat things that don't have a place in my home but I don't want to get rid of.
I realize my advice was unsolicited, so if it's unwelcome, feel free to disregard! :D

    Thanks! :D

And yeah, I've seen that blog too! But actually I did not plan to make them magnets. Everything on that fridge is either cheap/freebie stickers or are from artists I want to support and don't mind re-buying if needed. So if that fridge dies, I will see my new fridge as a blank slate for a new sticker collection. :) I also have a huge magnet collection on my other fridge door btw. xD

calias (1 ano atrás) #28351246I've been itching for more salty snacks recently, so I'll be on the lookout for them!
Heh, my previous icon was actually from Osomatsu-san! This is a character from My Hero Academia; his name is Mirio Togata. It's just that many have noticed his similarities to Tintin, so someone colored him like that as a joke.

I'm sure you will not be disappointed with Jagarico! :D

A-ha! That explains it. Googled him, he's like a buff Tintin, haha!

Maakie (1 ano atrás) #28349630Thank you! :D And wow, a Japanese supermarket closeby! If you like savory stuff, I definitely recommend you to try out Jagarico sticks if you didn't do so yet! :)
Which character is your icon from btw? Style reminds me of Dutch/Belgian/French comics, but reverse image search brings me to Osomatsu-san (?).

calias (1 ano atrás) #28348402I love your snack reviews! I always want to pick out at least one or two snacks when I go to the Japanese supermarket over here, but I always second guess myself. Your reviews give me something to look forward to picking out next time!

victorviper (1 ano atrás) #28338077It's pretty disappointing that your coworkers turned their noses up at the umaibo. I mean, it's a prepackaged snack food from a first-world country, how bad could it possibly be?

Yeah, it was disappointing for me too, some of them literally said 'isn't that the country with so much nuclear stuff?'. :I People knew about me liking Asian/Japanese culture in general there, so I thought they would have liked seeing something of it. And umaibo is a lot like some of the savory snacks we have here, so I thought it was a safe choice.

Anyway, I will start my new job at another company soon, and even though that company is more international, I don't think I will import any special snacks anymore. I'll just buy a generic cake at the supermarket next time. But the good news was that I had a ton of umaibo for myself and the people that ended up liking it, could grab a second one!

victorviper (1 ano atrás) #28338077It was interesting to see that you got a couple boxes of green tea Pocky. A while back, I decided to try that flavor and you could get a pack of 12 boxes pretty cheap on Amazon. The first couple boxes were tasty enough, but after 12 boxes, that was enough green tea Pocky for a lifetime :).

Oh man, 12 boxes, 2 packs each box...that's a ton of matcha Pocky, haha! I also once made the 'mistake' of buying a huge size bag of matcha Kit Kat and was not interested in buying anything green tea flavored for at least a year. :') It's a nice taste, but not something everyday for me.
