They always say "omg yas we make high quality figures and sell them at affordable prices" mhm mhm yeah honey alright then explain to me why she looks like a McDonald's Happy Meal toy ??? i spent $40 mf dollars on her i expect better quality than taito prize figures and they somehow manage to give me something WORSE,,, (´；Д；｀)
tldr: dont buy PUP figures they're totally a scam
I also ordered ITEM #1085480 a while ago and I'm prayiNG TO GODDD that she turns out okay - I've heard a few bad F:NEX reviews so I'm a little worried （ ; ; ）I've actually pointed this out myself. Pop Up Parade figures are nothing more than glorified prize figures but more expensive. I've got better quality prize figures that are bigger scale and cheaper.

While I havent had this issue at all I'm just popping in to say it's super cool to see someone with a pre cure collection show up!! Have just started my own for nostalgia purposes following cure Black and White :') managed to snag the tamashii Premier scale recently so I'm excited to see more pretty cure fans showing their heads!! Gonna check out your collection now x)

This is one of the only areas where having mild colorblindness (weak deuteranomaly specifically) is kind of helpful. I'm far less likely to notice mild color defects if the color in question uses red. Blue/purple discrepancies in particular are something I don't usually notice.

For my topic contribution, this Aoba prize ITEM #464867 has a really cute face in the promo pictures but looks pretty derpy in person. Maybe my copy is just wonky though.

UC is well known for not being good at delivering what they promise, but I'm esp disappointed about ITEM #1030082. she looked so cute and would fit into my future office-themed mini collection but they kind of blew her :(. the limited edition (ITEM #1164303) does look a tiny better though, so I'll be getting her if I find her for a decent enough price. still sad, because the prototypes did look really good.

also, speaking of UC I hope they don't mess up the rest of the ganbare, douki-chan figures as well as ITEM #1073467, which I really love and hope turns out at least sort of decent??

It's impossible to tell from the promotional pictures, but the skirt half of ITEM #1141456 's dress is a semi-transparent plastic, not solid white.

ITEM #1036523 this one really threw me off when i opened it because in all the promotional photos her outfit was violet and white, but when i opened her, her outfit was more like a blue/indigo color. the sculpt of the figure itself looked okay, but the difference in color between the official photos and what i actually received was so confusing at first.

ITEM #886807 this one was an absolute nightmare when i got it out of the box. the slightly transparent quality of the ends of the sleeves looked really nice in the official photos but IRL it just looked so ugly and scrungy. there were visible mold lines in places and paint defects and just, in general, the official photos made it look so pretty but it was probably the most disappointing prize figure i've ever purchased.

ITEM #998276 the pink gradient on her dress is WAY brighter in the promotional photos than it is on the actual figure. the gradient on the actual figure is more purplish and understated.

A few I can think of are

ITEM #882305 - I mean the company didn't even try. Just look at the photos XD

ITEM #234127 - He turned out like a prize figure

ITEM #604385 - Was not as vibrant as the protype

ITEM #1085445 - She had a lot of issues, bad paintjob, hair is a different shade etc

ITEM #1131775 - She looks very cheap and under the dress there is no legs XD

ITEM #945857 - Lack of shading
