Balmert7 dias atrás#112253148This is interesting, here in France they tax me on the total value (package+shipping) and it's 4.5%+20% and i can only use EMS and their handling fee is around £20 :<F

Kylskada7 dias atrás#112252970okay some quick maths, Retail at 23636yen plus around 4000 yen average for Sal shipping takes it to 27636 yen for the sake of making the maths easy let's just round up to 28k, once it lands it will potentially need to pay customs and VAT, honestly with sal this only happens to me 1 every 5 items I ship but assuming this one gets hit it would be a 2.5% customs charge on the 24k value so convert yen to GBP and that is £146 meaning an additional cost of £3.7 taking it up to £150 there is also vat which is %20 of the value so an additional £30 bringing it to £180 and then there is the handling fee which is a flat £7 so £187 total convert that into euros and that is actually 222 euros.

Balmert7 dias atrás#112252953How much tax do you pay ? 225 seem really low with shipping.

Kylskada7 dias atrás#112252744I just did the math on what the cost would be to get it into the UK including the average costs of shipping customs duty and VAT+Handling fees assuming you are paying the 24000 yen retail and it is coming to around 225 euros what the heck is the German government charging you in customs that makes 360 euro the retail price?

Klon8 dias atrás#112252053It is retail! It’s just what the prices within Europe are including taxes. In Europe you get the scalper prices already on pre-order.
Look, laugh and leave because it‘s a terrible place to buy figures.

It really depend, i moved almost all my order in Europe because it's just cheaper in the end or the same and i rather not deal with custom myself.

an exemple of one of my preorder

www.hlj.com/1-8...

www.global-frea...

If i order the one from Japan it will cost me around 230 euros in total.

It's not the case for all of them like Nia but for 90% of them it's just cheaper for me to order in Europe.

Also Good Smile Compagny is soon going to open their European website, i can't wait.

If you import the figure from Japan yourself then your math is right and I guess even in Germany you wouldn’t pay more than about 250 Euros (with tax and SAL shipping).
Now, if this would be a regular figure you could calculate with another 50 Euros for the shop owner for the hard work of ordering her for you from the European distributor and so with 300 Euros you would be done. But this is a Limited&Exclusive figure and therefore there will be about another 50 Euros due in addition to the 300 Euros you already have to pay. Don’t ask me why this is, maybe it’s just a hidden idiots tax or something like that.

Unfortunately that is not something unique within the German tax system and their dealers. The prices are quite similar throughout Europe and even if you order that figure from a dealer within the UK you‘d have to pay about 300 Pounds which again is around 350 Euros.
