Pekola (9 meses atrás) #19462182I just received her today. Aaaaand her legs are broken clean off. I think it's because her legs are part of the base and the figure itself was too heavy.
Now, question is...should I try to fix her with some glue? I already contacted HLJ and told them what happened. Took some pictures.
But will they ask me to ship the figure back? Should I leave it as is?

I'll say i never got a replacement, god damn it! My Vash the Stampede had his whole leg snapped off at the torso and HLJ told me they wouldn't replace it but could tell me the best way to go about fixing it!

Maybe HLJ has changed its stance on stuff like that since then. Like i've always said 'unless it's Nippon Yasan, it doesn't hurt to ask' ;)
Send them a message and ask them what they can do about it.

Personally i used super glue (not the best thing for fixing figures), and she seems to be holding up fine. If you do glue her though, just make sure you've got her angled right so that not too much pressure is on the legs. I rested her against some clothes while the glue dried.
Probably best to get someones help when gluing her, as the angle you'll need to hold her at is a little tricky to keep steady.

If they ask you to send her back, it's really up to you i guess. You'll have to weigh whether you think it's worth it to try again, and pay the shipping.
Me personally i'd just glue her. £2 for a tube of glue or £20+ shipping.
Again though, it's all down to you :)

midnighteve (10 meses atrás) #19279669I wouldn't be worried. I've been collecting figures for a long while now and this one was the first to arrive damaged. Customer service was great and offered me a replacement free of charge. (I had to pay for the shipping up front, but they reimbursted it). Second one arrived damage free!Ancestral_Spirit (10 meses atrás) #19282557Possibly yes. I don't think it's anything to do with the packaging mind you.
She's a beautiful figure for sure, but when they designed her they obviously did not think about how should would be shipped and where all her weight would lie.
She's a dwarf hence the tiny legs, but her dress is huge and made of completely solid PVC so it's damn heavy compared to her legs. The combined pressure and weight during shipping on her legs is the main problem here.
The shield is made of a very thin plastic and cheaply made and that's why that keep coming off for people during shipping. All in all, lovely figure, but with no thought put into how it would be shipped.

Pekola (10 meses atrás) #19276496Oh no! I just ordered it from them. And they usually package figures really well. Should I be worried?
