Cantisama (1 dia atrás) #28850156What's the best way to insert the parasol? Would heating her hand help?
I wouldn't say she came out bad. They failed on the shirt and did poorly on the towel (which is how I originally planned to display her), but the rest of the figure looks amazing. Koto did a great job on her face, and that body sculpt is killer.

I recommend heating her hand and prying her grip open then inserting it that way. Heating her hand and sliding it downwards left a lot of paint transfer (which I removed right away with alcohol). Once warm pry open the fingers enough to fit it in then once its in place hold her fingers closed for 15-20 seconds while it cools and it should stay in place. Mine hasn't slipped out since and I've picked her up to move her around to test different display areas.

MillyParis (1 dia atrás) #28848477Kind of glad I snagged her for less than $80 (TOM points and all)

sigh. I heard from other people that the towel was painted poorly too.
Also heard that Semiramis' figure came out with an awful paint job.
Bad luck for Fate figures this month :/

She's really not all that bad. She is a pain to assemble, but I don't really mind her quality. Sure the seams on her shirt are pretty bad, but if you have her at a high angle you can't notice (she looks better at eye level or higher imo). The towel is hard to put together but once you jam it together it's pretty stable. Mine's tail hasn't popped off once, so maybe that's just qc on some. My biggest complaint is hall tall her umbrella is - unless I remove the tip part it won't fit on my swimsuit shelf.

That all being said, a lot of people seem to just want her to show as much skin as possible and are ditching all/most of the accessories. For now I have her fully assembled and she's just fine from the angle I have her displayed at.

It really just comes down to individual preference imho. She has some flaws, but she still is great to me. A big part of the problem is there was way too much hype for her and that let people down. I figured she wouldn't be top notch just from seeing the painted prototype and I was right, but that doesn't mean I don't enjoy her a lot.

Bad luck for Fate figures this month :/Sh1n0b1_5h0Gun (1 dia atrás) #28848444I have to say for me personally Kotobukiya did a terrible job for such a pricy figure. I was so excited for this figure then immediately disappointed by the poor craftsmanship. The shirt does not fit, the towel is very flimsy, the tail is flat in texture, umbrella handle stained her hand AND the handle does not grip to her hand, the head pops off WAY too easily. Overall one of the worst figures I have ever owned. Don't get me wrong the figure looks good but the craftsmanship is crap. The worst part is that I LOVE Tamamo, I own 3 other figures of her, and the fact that Kotobukiya chose to butcher her just bums out even more. I wish Alter, Max, Good Smile or Phat handled her manufacturing instead.

Thank you! It was sold out on Amiami last I looked, added it to my monthly order just in time! It's cheaper on NY but I've never been a fan of them sadly.
