She arrived today, and I'm really pleased with her! Her pose still seems a little off, personally, but the details are impressive (the book is super cute!). She's found her place next to my other literary daughter Berserker Fran, both aptly on my fantasy and sci-fi bookshelf <3

Yeah I got her and I still really like her <3 Taito is really doing a good job with their prize figures. I may be a prize figure convert (only here and there, though!)

I get that the legs and skirt are weird from the back, looking head-on, but I still say she isn't meant to be displayed that way - from the front she looks awesome and I really like the overall effect. I don't even mind the support peg! Definitely worth the $15!

This figure weirds me out. My brother has her, and just showed me she's literally a body, a skirt, and legs shoved into the skirt with no hint of a form that they are attached to.
They could have at least given her a lower body. This is a weird way to handle this pose.
I get they don't want to lewd a little girl, but there was a way to do it without killing her lower torso. I have a Madoka figure that has a crapton of petticoats, too, and she still isn't lewded and has a hint that there is a body under the skirts.
They could have handled her similarly. She's a from the front only figure, I guess, otherwise there's that creepy surprise.

I dunno, I think she looks good from the front which is what matters the most. We can just chalk the weird ruffles up to the surreal look of the anime, right? ;D

thewitchdoc (2 meses atrás) #40116798She looks pretty cute, but those underskirt frills make no sense. The legs should be coming from the "middle" of the underskirts, meaning if the legs are in that position, the frills should be in motion around the legs, not in a weird layered pile focusing in the literal middle where the legs are not. I don't even know how you could achieve something like this.
totally agree. there's this prize figure review blog that post images of the legs from the bottom and it's just weird... it's like the legs are not part of the body.

Why did the plastic thing have to be black? Couldn't they simply go with a clear/translucid one?

The figure in itself is really nice for a prize, but that little thing's a real bummer.

thewitchdoc (2 meses atrás) #40121234I can expect much from a 15€ figure, and I do, because in comparison to this there's better for the same price with way more attention to detail.

I’d say Banpresto and Sega have fine tuned their skills a bit more but I feel like Taito figures still look pretty good for $15.

I mean a lot of 1/7 scales are at least $130 now!
