I remember telling this person a piece of mind, so not really arguing, so calm down kid? It was about something he is biased against without opening his mind for another matter that he doesn't even know of or even bought to judge? I didn't bother to read his comments or check my notifications because I don't have that much time to waste like him on an already petty and closed topic tbh lol no offense sorry

Senbei6 meses atrás#75089324I honestly think it's just based on personal preference. If you don't like the RAHs or don't like the Banpresto ones, that's okay. I think this debate all just originated from preference and the quality you get vs cost, and is it worth it.
I personally hate the Banpresto face sculpts, so no matter how cheap they are, I think that RAHs are the better option. But if you or someone else doesn't have the same opinion on the Banprestos (face sculpt for example)and think that is better, that's fine too.
It all boils down to personal preference and how much you want to spend. I really hope we don't need to debate so much on this page anymore since it distracts from Jotaro himself

I think u're right about the face sculpts overall, including the fact that Medicoms' overall have better faces, it's just that a lot of RAHs still don't look all that perfect as a lot of people make them out to be. And there are still plenty of great face sculpts at good older Banpresto figures which i've talked about. And nah, i don't think the debate is rly distracting from the Jotaro himself, since there's not much going on about him anyways, and if other people didn't start the debate here themselves, i wouldn't have intervened and continued it anyways.

Dimon_V6 meses atrás#75088793Ok, first off i did compare all of them and i wasn't denying that, i just said that i didn't mean to say that Banpresto's quality are superior than RAHs, it's just that in a lot of cases they are the best in terms of quality after them leaving Medicos and Di Molto way behind and even specifically said myself that i'm talking about some of their older figures, which are way superior than the new ones, and the Star Platinum i showed is not the only example like that. And a lot of them also predate the anime and basing off of manga and being not less authentic than the RAHs, which you can see yourself: static.myfigure...
Which brings us to the next problem of you not understanding that the authenticity of the figure isn't tied also to the type of figure at hand, but only to how close it looks to the original, and you can compare the authenticity of figures of any scale and type, because authenticity is based on that and only that element - how close it resembles the original source material.
When i took Jolyne RAH, i knew that you will most likely tell me about the fact that her face resembles the one we've seen before Ch. 96, which is true, however, the problem is that the version of Jolyne’s appearance that this figure wants to imitate the most: with green belt, blue buckle, navel piercing and a wristband is seen only after ch. 111, where she already has more elongated face structure: s3.mkklcdnv3.co...
But the real problem is that this figure adds elements seen long before ch. 111 - from the very beginning of the manga: a shirt that doesn't cover her shoulder blades with 6 straps going into her pants and a little butterfly applique right under her neck (s3.mkklcdnv3.co... ; s3.mkklcdnv3.co...) that replaces the shirt after ch. 111 (which should be here instead) that fully covers the shoulder pads with 4 very thin straps going into pants and a big butterfly applique (go look at the image where I was talking about the pants and accessories); As well as adds face and the jacket both seen before ch. 96. Basically this figure morphs different versions of Jolyne's design seen in the manga into 1 version and ends up having an upper part of the body from the beginning of the manga and lower part accessories from the end of the manga and in the end doesn't fully resemble any outfit, unlike the SAS for example, that fully resembles the final one, and because of it ends up being way less authentic than it (Not to mention that SAS perfectly captures her face from the finale, unlike the RAH, which only loosely resembles her more rounded face from the manga). Prime example of 1/12 scale figure being way more authentic than 1/6 figure.
And I really thought I won’t have to poke your face into every single little thing that is obvious, but it looks like I have to, so go look at Josuke’s colours difference for yourself: static.myfigure... ; static.jojowiki... ; static.jojowiki...
It isn’t about him having different colours, but about him looking bland because of having little to no variety in a colour palette and having uninteresting shade of colors, both of which could’ve easily been fixed and he would’ve looked interesting and authentic, because Josuke should be a colorful looking guy, it’s one of his defining traits.
Rly no offense, but you clearly don’t know or understand what you’re talking about.

A7xMad6 meses atrás#75051674sorry, honestly I just bothered to look at your comment because I remember the first was already misinformed and senbei summed it up. Anyway I am not biased at all considering that I even have banpresto figures myself xD It is a popular opinion that I didn't make up. Go take a look at their newest golden experience line that thing is atrocious, and the quality of their old pieces is not that amazing as you are making up at all, while you are here picking a needle in a haystack. The variety of colours is obvious with prize figures mate, but RAH figure is standardized according to the manga and I think they made a great job with all stands and most characters. The painting does differ with production pieces and I think the sculpting is still fine because they picked her softer more rounded expression which you can see frequently in the manga. That's why the jaw line is more rounded. And regarding Josuke I am not even gonna argue about that because the colour is literally the same as the manga and that's how it is intended. These things are manga accurate not prize figures. You need to understand that bro. You can't compare a 1/6 scale with clothes either with a 1/12 action figure scale that is painted lol. Not to mention these were based on the anime not the manga so you can't argue either about who's more authentic since each were of a different perspective. I am not gonna mention the quality issues with them (fresh out of the box) because you should know that (: The problem is that you generalized in the first place and compared both to RAH, then you are denying that now lol. You need to read your comment again because you are changing a lot of what you said bro lol. No offense and I am sorry if you feel insulted. We are just debating

Dimon_V7 meses atrás#72314710Ok, bro, firstly you are clearly very biased towards Medicom, secondly you probably haven't seen a single good Banpresto JoJo figure if u're stating that they're "the derpiest" lol, go look at this Star Platinum and try to repeat that again: myanimeshelf.co... . I didn't say that Banpresto's are better than RAHs, i said that in most cases their JoJo figures have the best quality after Medicom's. And i never said that JoJo RAHs' "low posability" due to one reason or another is their flaw, because i understand that they're not toys to play around with and are pretty old figures. And finally you are taking Stand figures as an examples, while i didn't want to take them as an examples, because unlike most RAHs, these are static statues without the clothing. And Stand RAHs are the best Stand figures to date, this is not up to debate. This is again, partially because they chose good colors for them. And Jolyne is flat, i'm not exaggerating: ru.myanimeshelf... ; has enormous size legs: static.myfigure... , and finally doesn't look even a little like Jolyne, just compare yourself: 1.bp.blogspot.c... . And the thing is, i really wanted to have a Jolyne figure and rly wanted to like this one, because obviously RAHs are great high quality figures but unfortunately i just wasn't able to, because of her inaccuracy. It made me look at SAS figure, which obviously looks a lot more authentic: static.myfigure... . So in this case when i say that RAH isn't the most accurate figure of the character, this is a fact. The same way that Josuke is not, because making his clothes just all black is uninteresting, and they could've given him just another color and it wouldn't have made him look silly.sorry, honestly I just bothered to look at your comment because I remember the first was already misinformed and senbei summed it up.
