MC707 (6 meses atrás) #21457128Oh lord, who wouldn't like the prototype. That paintjob is amazing, it looks like a scale figure (or expertly-done garage kit). I wonder how doable it would be to sand the paint from one of these babies and to paint it yourself as a garage kit, since the sculpt on these is so nice but the paint lines leave a bit to be desired. And thanks for the picture thing, it seems you're the only one on MFC who owns the three versions of this Rei.

I uploaded another one - my camera is too bad to make it better. Since I broke her peg after I tried to get her off the base to put all three close together, I don't feel like make more photos. :/ The Racing version is easy enough to differentiate I guess.

Kendappa (6 meses atrás) #21447107My favorite is the normal non-Lawson version with her normal expression. To be honest I would prefer the prototype above them all because of her expression, but well~
I'll see if I can upload a new one soon.

MC707 (6 meses atrás) #21432707Upon close inspection, I noticed the racing version does have a paler skin, like a bit plastic-ish and yellowy, whereas the Lawson has pinkish skin which I like more. The paintjob is much better on the Racing ver though, and the sculpt is really nice on both. I didn't know you had all three, which one of the three do you prefer? It's hard to tell the details on your pic because of the exposure, unfortunately.

Kendappa (6 meses atrás) #21431142Ah, I'm sorry I saw this comment too late to upload a box picture. A photo from the figure is there, I uploaded it. :) All three users pictures are from me actually.
If you want to look: picture/1590685...
The difference in the figure itself is the non-metallic paint on her suit - and her face. She is not smiling here. Took me a lot of inspecting photos on ebay to get this one back then. The base is indeed a transparent hex base. On the photo she is on the right.
The Lawson one has metallic highlights and is smiling. See her on the left side of the picture.
The Racing version, seen in the middle, has a shiny finish on the plug suit, the Racing logo on her thigh and the dark base with logo. Also her eyes look different + plus paler skin tone. I never had the box for the racing version, got that one in a plastic bag used - so it would be very interesting to see your photo.

MC707 (6 meses atrás) #21404819Turns out I have the Lawson version! Mine has the blue box. However, I have another one with white box and a checkered blue stripe which I thought was this one since you said "white with blue lines". I checked the back of the box and it says 2014 so it turns out the other one is the Project Eva Racing version ITEM #230155. That one has a Project Eva Racing logo on her right thigh which I hadn't even noticed, and it's not linked as a related item which doesn't help with the confusion.
I'm gonna post some pictures of my Eva Racing box on that item and I would hope you post pictures of this non-Lawson version (the box and the figure if possible). That would help a lot in clearing out the confusion since these three only vary in the box, the quality of the painting and skin tone, as well as the base design (Lawson has transparent hex base, Eva Racing ver. has a black hex base with a red painted logo. Dunno about this one, but from the pictures it looks like it's also a transparent hex base. But enough rambling.
Edit: Found a picture of the box while casually browsing the Amiami pre-owned section. Now I just need to upload a pic for the Eva Racing ver.

Kendappa (1 ano atrás) #12287448If you want to differenciate her with the Lawson Version because of photo quality: Her box has blue stripes on white ground (the Lawson Version has white stripes on blue ground).
Ordered her a minute ago - so happy! She seems to be much harder to get than the Lawson - I thought the Lawson would be special, and these the regular. öô
