StrawberryCafe (5 anos atrás) #2263951Are the Capita legs sturdy? I was contemplating about the Kallax shelf (white) so that the "borders" of each shelf will serve as nice reflectors for dioder led lights (similar to PICTURE #540919). The drawback of this approach is greater dust buildup since there are no glass covers. Then I was considering detolfs, but ran into the issue of not finding furniture as risers that could support the weight of the detolfs. So are these Capita legs holding up strong? If so, this may be the winning solution and convince me to take the detolf route (even though I like the Kallax display more... wish Ikea still had their Expedits with glass door so I can have the best of both worlds).

Awesome, it's really sturdy for me. I had it for more then a year now and it's still holding up pretty strong. Even with all the moving it by drag the legs since I sometimes don't have a second person to help moved it from place to place and the leg is still really sturdy. You will have to put four holes on each corner for the frames of the legs but it fit over the actual holes on the wood without any screws hitting it and it's not too long so you don't have to worry about getting shorter ones so it won't go through the woods. Hope this help you to get some idea of the Ikea Capita. ^_^

MrTCJ22 (5 anos atrás) #2000869The legs are from Ikea. They are called Ikea Capita and they come in varying lengths. I used the longest available, 8".Are the Capita legs sturdy? diggadang (6 anos atrás) #1657355Hi, I notice you used those clear acrylic risers. Can you tell me the size you used or where you got them? I'm thinkin about getting some of those for my figures but I don't want to accidentally buy those small ones. (Great display and collection btw!) =) Thanks, I used 4x4x4 (as you can see Yozora ITEM #78630 is on) and 3x3x3 (the two sonico on the back is on) and 2x2x2 (you can see Yoko ITEM #7900 is on that one) You can find on Ebay or Amazon but I get them from this seller 1lasercreations on Ebay.
