Dynamic Chord’s quality makes me so sad when you look at the quality of their artwork. I knew it wouldn’t translate perfectly into the anime medium, but it just… became a mess lol. The plot at least started to get interesting in episode 5 so I just want to keep up and get it over with.
I’m watching too many things this season so I do want to go back to SideM later since, like you mentioned, the older idols are really appealing. (That’s what drew me to Dynamic Chord at first since the game is aimed at adults.) May I ask which group it is that you like IRL?

Lol that's fine, I don't mind. XD

And I definitely agree on you with Dynamic Chord. The character art is super nice and the story is picking up, but some of the animation is just so gross. I do like that it's more rock than most 'idol' sorts of series. I've never really looked into the game because I have my hands full with Ensemble Stars and Idolish7 (and a little bit of SideM now as well!! Ahhh). I have an older phone so every time I install something new I'm out of room for updates, even if I've put most of the games on my microSD card ;__;

I'd say so far my favorites this season are Inuyashiki, SideM and Ancient Magus Bride. (And of course the continuing series like Ballroom e Yokoso, Gintama, Shokugeki no Souma and Hozuki no Reitetsu XD). I definitely am watching too much though.

And my favorite idol group is Arashi. They've been around since 1999. I got into them when I was in high school around 2004-2005 or so. XD I haven't been keeping up with them quite as much recently, but they're still pumping out music. My favorite member is Ohno Satoshi. He's a nerd and I love him. XD

I must agree that the production quality is really high, though I think it's about on the same level as SideM. I completely dropped Tsukipro and am just vaguely watching Dynamic Chord XDDD
I think the one aspect that I like a lot about SideM in comparison to most other idol series is that they have 30+ aged idols. ;__; My favorite IRL idol group's members are all in their 30s now, so it's just a bit sad to see a lot of the idol series focusing only on teenage-mid 20s aged idols when there's loads of group who have older members in actual life. XDDDD

noctisity (1 dia atrás) #28813938Ohman, took me a moment to realize there’s no reply option for comments anymore? Anyway lol…
I remember seeing Yamato and thought, “heroizumi would be so happy to watch this!” I was surprised to see Trigger appear in both episodes. I thought it was really great that the company decided to let the fans watch the first two episodes early. But then I compared it to the other music/idol-focused anime that are airing this season (e.g. Dynamic Chord, Idolmaster Side M, TsukiPro) and thought, damn, I7’s quality is so much higher LOL. (I mean Tsukipro is great and Idolmaster Side M doesn’t seem too bad from what I’ve seen, but i7 actually has a focused plot and the 3D animation they used for the concert isn’t too wonky. I guess since they’re already used it before for their MVs.)

Thanks! I've been ordering from FromJapan and they seem pretty similar, but they only hold items for 30 days since the first one arrives.
