"Kind of like a Greek Statue", that's a neat way to phrase it as Ayanami belongs to the pantheon of anime goddesses.
I'm also a scale modeller and have a obsessive interest in model kit and anime figure package art so I understand totally about having so many projects to enjoyably deal with.
Cheers, momo
Your modified Rei is ultra-impressive.
Do you think you'll ever paint her or leave her the way she is?
I considered leaving my 1/2.5 Rei just as she was but decided to get her painted up.
Thanks. Yuki's base is made up of laminated plasticard. I know you can buy bases, I prefer making my own.
Figures nowadays are just so good but I still prefer the older figures with the large eyes.
I'd very like to see your Asuka with the legs you've made for her.
I've seen some of these 1/2.5 figures with legs added and the best way to describe them are plastic surgery disasters. But I do applaud the effort people have gone to to do that.
Instead of doing that I'd probably just get the Aizu Project same scale Ayanami (if I can find a reasonably priced one) ITEM #46150
I haven't done that much in a while but I like to make my own 'simple' bases and doing up old figures. This is the last one I've done picture/2769875...
The Asuka bust you have has all the details for the Ayanami bust ITEM #73145
I see you also have this 1/2.5 Ayanami ITEM #83091
I wonder if the Ayanami bust has similar lines/size to that.
I'd check but this Ayanami I have is currently being painted.
My Ayanami bust is definitely a hard plastic shell.
When I get time I'll post some pics and do a brief article about her.
I have a very soft spot for collecting 1990s Ayanami/Evangelion figures.

Just a quick followup on the Ayanami bust you did a mould of based on ITEM #83093
'96 JAF-CON' on base means it was first shown at 1996 Japanese Fantastic Convention animarchive.tum...
I strongly suspect the sculptor was Ageta Yukiwo as he has done very similar 1/2.5 Evangelion busts.
My Rei bust turned up Friday and she is made of plastic and is hollow not solid. There was no packaging but from online pics its obviously a SEGA issue. I'd like to get another one to pull apart but what prices this bust is going for precludes that option.
Cheers, momo
Hello momo,
thank you for the information! I also got the Asuka bust, unpainted though (so probably a recast too).
Very interesting, your Rei is hollow? But it's not some cheap brown Vinyl recast right, probably more of a slush-cast cold cast stuff? Are you going to take pictures?

RelaxedTime_404 • 8 meses atrás • #113785971Just wanted to say i love the honkai collection! I hope we get even more soon!
Yeah, I'd like to add some too, but the pricing is hefty... Herrscher of Flamescion would be great, but she'd be over 300 bucks for me...
