Awhile ago a new rule came into affect which resulted in the deletion of hundreds of encyclopedia entries. Some however were missed or not deleted due to time constraints and this will act as a running list for us to discuss and clear out entries that break the copyright rule:

About Copyrights
Copyright holders must have an additional purpose beyond holding copyright to be included as an encyclopaedia entry, unless they are the main producer of the work.

Here is the list of currently pinpointed entries for deletion or discussion. If you wish to assist with the clean up any VIB can do so by editing the entries linked to an entry to unlink them, once an entry is empty it can be deleted by a mod.

Feel free to also suggest new entries for review/deletion/discussion.

DO NOT touch any of the entries that are in the DISCUSSION list. These ones have not been confirmed for removal yet.

These ones probably fall under the "main producer" exception but need to be discussed/verified:

- mods generally agreed this one stays, it's the one we got to confirm on.

Some of these appear to simply be production companies and were flagged for further investigation before removal since they are old with a lot of entries linked. If we have experts on Jojos or Ishimori works that would help for some of the above.

Entries need to be cleaned up then we can decide on it staying or not:

These ones would go but some of their n/a linkages would then result in no company listed, needs investigation.

They're also incorrectly used as developers for .
en.wikipedia.or...(company) is the proper company.

I don't know what you really want to know to help to decided if an entry is ok or not.

I created Lucky Land for Jojo since it was the production company of Araki therefore, the main licencor, Shueisha is only for publishing. Also that copyright starts only from the part3 of the manga, part2 and 1 weren't under that company, earlier works aren't licenced by it.
Also I have to say that I created it because I saw the Bird Studio for Toriyama , I suppose that the results of the decision for LL&C should also decided for that entry too.

Edit : I suppose we'll never know ><

I'll have to take a look into lucky land at some point.

So far i cleared the list up and from the delete list only two companies are left

From the discussion list Internet co need to stay now whith the vocaloid voicebank softwares added which they are the producers from.

Due to the removal of non japanese goods the following are copyright holder only now and are eligible for removal

An additional note to warner bros.
At some point they must have been doing some rebranding for the japanese branch to warner bros japan warnerbros.co.j...
and splitting of Warner Home Video/ WHV which now runs under whv-amusic.com/ .
WHV was responsible for both anime and music publishing, while now they seem to only handle music while animes can be only found on warner bros japan.
This can also be double checked with the usage of WHV's catalogue ID which is WHV and is still used for anime projects.
So far i simply added warner bros japan as an alias to WHV but we'll have to see how this works on the long run and if it doesn't we have to create an entry for Warner Bros Japan .
Main issue is that i can't find any reliable info on what happened like a wiki entry for example.

For discussion is

Marvel
They're mainly copyright holder and only noted as producers on the marvel anime dvd's. I'll have to check if that's actually true, so far it looks like sony pictures where the publisher which would turn marvel in a sole copyright holder status expect for this shirt

I believe the mods were still discussing that one at the time but hadn't 100% confirmed to keep it yet.
