I am really sorry if this is asked recently but I used the search bar and couldnt find anything. So what I want to know is :
1.Can you get banned from amiami JUST FOR ASKING for a cancelation via email ?
2.Do they warn you explicitly via email when you are one more cancelation away from getting banned ? (I read this somewhere else but the article was 3 years old I think)

No you cannot get banned for asking for a cancellation. I talked to an agent about their cancellation policy and it's simple: if the price of the items you've cancelled (the item/s you are about to cancel + other items you've cancelled from past orders) is greater than the amount of money you've spent on their store, then you will be at risk of being banned. From my understanding, they will let you know if you're about to get banned before you actually reach the exceeded amount of cancellation (price of items cancelled in total > (is greater) than the price of items you've paid for, as stated before).

This actually makes a lot of sense! Back in 2015, I spent 2 weeks at a psych ward (no comp access hehh), and afterwards minimized my own usage of technology, and ended up missing payment for two monthly orders. I'd heard so much about how AmiAmi can be really strict about cancellations, I was worried for my account after seeing the cancellations in my e-mail. However, I'd been buying all my anime goods/figures exclusively from AmiAmi since 2012. I guess at the time, I was in the clear. I've also cancelled stuff with them without a problem since then, probably because I still mainly buy from them and have spent quite a bit.

No. I've asked for three cancellations. One was like a year after I started shopping there, and two were 6 months later. I can still shop there. I've heard so long as you buy a lot and have been shopping there a long time, it's OK.
I don't think asking will hurt anything.
As for whether or not they will warn you, that I'm not sure about. I've never had any warnings other than the generic 'please try not to cancel' message.

And @shouko, that is very interesting, I actually didn't know that. It makes a lot of sense, and explains a lot (why some get the ban hammer, and some don't).
I spend a LOT there, and with only three cancellations (and I think only one was a scale, the others were like nendos I think), I'd be spending way more than I cancel. Which is probably why I'm OK, even after cancellations.
